Headed to the UNC/FAMU week 0 game this weekend. Have never been to a unc football game or hung out in chapel hill much other than going to a few restaurants in the area. (Have lived in the triangle area for a little over a year now). Is there much of a tailgating scene before the game? I have no idea. If anyone lives in the area or has been to chapel hill… any recommendations on bars or restaurants to go to pregame? Doubt anyone in this forum has been to a unc football game but with a shot! Lol

haven't been to a game in some time but tailgating is a thing at UNC. near the stadium things are compact with not much room (big donors have the spots here but again we're not talking by the hundreds of ppl, more like by the dozens). if you want more of a traditional tailgating scene i'd recommend the Bowles Lot:



as far as bars, He's Not Here is basically a good sized uncovered outdoor area that is the classic UNC student hangout spot. Four Corners and Top of the Hill are solid and you may be able to find a spot there on FAMU game week (not much chance on big game weekends)

a solid restaurant that has stood the test of time is 411 West. other than that, i've been out of the loop on CH goings on

i should note that i believe you need a Bowles Lot parking pass to access the lot with a car. but if you're just looking to walk up on a tailgating scene this would be it

Same! I was panicking for a sec. This will be my first unc game I’m attending. It’ll be a bloodbath but oh well

I’m ashamed to say I haven’t been to a game since I graduated in 2011. But they were always fun, even though we mostly sucked.

Not sure how the line could ever be Neb -13. Are there two programs more equivalent? I mean they both recruit the same talent. Both have pretty much the same tradition as far as the 21st century goes. Both probably have the same expectations. Line should've been a pickem.

We don't have enough information to criticize the call imo. I'm assuming Frost saw something on film or the first half to trigger the decision altho it appeared NW was completely for it. I doubt he's just mashing buttons out there. Either way I think we should be ambivalent to it at worst and overall we should appreciate some gamble in a sport where most coaches play way too "conservatively/status quo".

There's no question Nebraska is gonna choke this game away but that was known before the game began. Never gets old and will be a glorious way to began this season.
