The pac 12 (10) say they aren’t gonna add more teams and are content with the remaining 10? Just lol

Like how do you not add Boise St, Fresno St, or even Gonzaga for non-football. Even UNLV would be better than nothing.

It's just like business, if you aren't the one acquiring companies, you'll be the one acquired.

In the Pac-12's defense, if you add teams that bring less revenue than they take, it makes it more likely that the top teams will bolt for another conference. The teams you mentioned simply don't bring much to the table $-wise.

On the flip side, the Pac-12 had a chance to bring in the #1 $$$ program in college football, Texas, and the Pac-12 said no. The Pac-12 was not willing to bring in the likes of OU, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech because their academics and research did not meet the Pac-12's high standards. From my perspective, the Pac-12 is just an athletic conference. However, from the Pac-12's perspective it seems to be less about athletics and much more about academics, research, and social justice. This will prove (and has proved) to be the conference's undoing, IMO.

Stanford and CAL having to pair with Boise St. academically is funny, but they sucked it up for Utah so whatevs. ASU and ZONA at least offered the hottest girls in the country to make up for the mediocre book learnin.

All 12 of the Pac-12 members are Tier 1 research institutions. Boise St is only Tier 2, and it's unlikely that they would be seriously considered until they become Tier 1. Last I checked the only nearby Tier 1 research institutions that the Pac-12 could bring in from lowly conferences would be Colorado State, UNM, and Hawaii.

Neither Texas Tech nor Oklahoma State were Tier 1 when Texas/OU/OSU/Tech were trying to get in the Pac-12, but they all are now.

I just noticed that UNLV is Tier 1 now too.

Tech and OU are top of their field at what they do in weather stuff and both have med schools. UNLV has a gambling program or something.

None of the chatter addresses the California Board of Regents. They have to sign off on UCLA changing conferences which screws over Cal Berkely. Why would the Board ever agree to that? same thing if that is the case in Oregon and Washington.

Bringing on Colorado St. & UNLV wouldn't be the worst move for the Pac. Tier 1 with a lot of population growth in those states.
