Just looked it up.

appling was 8-14 2-4 from 3 with 22 points 8 rebs 8 assists vs Kentucky at the beginning of the year.

All I can say I before he missed games because of his wrist many had him as the big ten player of the year. Also averages over 4.5 assists a game this year.

MSU is good because Payne, Dawson and Harris are all very good players and then they have pieces like Trice and Valentine who fill offensive or defensive roles

Appling using MSU possessions is assuredly a bad thing given the other options, he's not a very good offensive player
