For those of you who follow recruiting more than me, and that are fans/alum of bigger and better programs than me (Purdue), are you regularly facing issues with the numbers game at signing day? Example: Purdue is at 24 verbals right now. Can we get 4* LB and still have room for 4* WR David Bell when he announces at the AA Game? Oh but we can shift a 2019 early enrollee to 2018 because we undersigned last year. Oh no we can't because they changed that rule this year. Maybe a lesser-rated verbal changes his mind or gets his offer pulled? Oh now we don't want 4* LB because his grades suck so he's going to IU but we flipped a 3* WMU commit who we of course love now. Now we're at the same numbers game as we wait for Bell.

Is all of that a regular deal at your schools or even moreso because of the higher demand and the desire to wait for a 5* guy who waits until the 2nd round of NLIs?

It's funny these high school QBs always think there will be an actual QB competition instead of going to a team that is definitely going to lose their starter. The Clemson situation this year is not typical.
