Ha. He needs to search his shadow anyway for where such animosity comes from.

Team ends season on 4-game losing streak then goes to Final Four. Ever happened before??

They didn't win, but UCLA an eleventh seed, came close enough to defend the honor of their ancestors, when silly fans start to think that other teams, (such as UNLV or Kentucky in previous years) are in the running for greatest of all time.

Duke-Kentucky and Zags-UCLA should be disqualified from this conversation. Can't be a "greatest game ever" when the wrong team wins and every casual fan gets punched in the gut in the end.

Same reason why Steelers-Cards SB sux donkey balls.

Edit: this is also why that Purdue-Virginia game isnt the greatest. The wrong team won.

So now the four teams to reach the Final Four undefeated since IU's perfect season, with a combined record of 135-0 going in, are 2-3 in the FF. It seems very hard for them to win, based on tonight and the only other win, which was Indiana State's wild last second semi-final win over Depaul, with Bird's near quadruple-double while shooting 16-19 from the field gaining them a 2 point win. It's hard on undefeated teams, apparently.

I left out UCLA loss to NC St. in 1974 Final Four. Seven time defending champion's reign comes to an end in double OT, the Walton Gang, I think 84-77. It makes my top 5 definitely.

I think I'd take the '68 or '73 UCLA team as their greatest. You have an opinion?

Reminds me of this (start at 8:30). My buddy lost a lot of money on this. Hardest I've ever laughed in my life.

“The 1965-1966 UCLA Bruin team was national champion the previous two seasons and the preseason #1. On November 27, 1965, the freshmen team, led by Lew Alcindor, defeated the varsity team 75-60 in the first game in the new Pauley Pavilion.

Alcindor scored 31 points and had 21 rebounds in that game although the defeat had no effect on the varsity's national ranking.”

There will never be another program like Wooden’s Bruins.

maybe i'm alone in this. but i definitely didnt think it was a charge. the defender over slid and then leaned back off balance to the right to still get contact.

college refs get that call wrong probably half the time since they're just clicking buttons, but that couldn't have been a more obvious charge

I remember thinking Villanova’s win over Georgetown was unreal; they played flawlessly to get the upset.

If they called it a block, i would have been disappointed to have the game end like that. But i wouldnt be too surprised.
The fact that you can slide in front of a moving player and draw a foul on him is absurd anyway

It's Timme. The reason you don't like the Zags is Timme. Timme. Timme is the reason.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm going to enjoy the butthurt of Florida State fans for the next twelve months. I'd say I'm sorry that your team got run out the building by the worst 1 seed in modern history but I'm not. Not in the slightest.
