Correction - IU shot 38 FTs to NWs 12 and won by 3. Thats insane. Bo Boroski was the head ref though.

Did Beard have a good case for being so upset? Rarely see a coach get that fired up.

IU was fortunate to escape both regulation and the first OT. I don't know anyone who would put money on Al Durham making a contested long 2 to tie.

If Minnesota could play every game at the Barn they might never lose. Down go the Boilers.

Gonzaga Baylor OSU Michigan the 4 1s?

Ugh. That was ugly.

Didn't realize Drake/Loyola was on TV, happened to see it right at tip.

Loyola clearly the class of the Valley. Drake lost their best player the other day to a broken foot. Competitive in the first half, but Loyola came out strong after halftime and never looked back.

Meet again tomorrow, it's a must-win for Drake to have a chance at an at-large bid. I'd have to guess they're out at this point. During the game, the announcers mentioned that Lunardi had them as an 11, and they got bombed 81-54.

As of today, yup. Ask again after tomorrow, not expecting Michigan to be good after the shutdown.

Also: LOL Sparty

I love Garza but it does feel like Ayo has a legit case for POTY over him right

Tom Izzo’s kid gets into the game and some deep bench Iowa walk-on type immediately nails a three right over him. YHTSI

Yay, Pups win!

Looked for a while like a repeat of yesterday--Loyola had a nice run in the second half and took a lead. But today, Drake was able to force them into mistakes, and able to do better finishing on the offensive end.

51-50 in OT.

I think Drake's a bubble team without Hemphill--a decent squad, but not very good. With him, they're probably a good team that would deserve an at-large and could surprise someone.

They're saying ~1 month for his broken foot to heal, can they hang on to the postseason?

I think they can't take a bad loss the rest of the way, and probably need to make and be competitive in the Valley final to have a shot.

The sickest part is I don't see how they come within 20 pts against Michigan. People still have no clue man. They will tho.

Honestly the power of Juwan might be enough to overcome the ILP Curse.

LOL

Do they not have McDonald's in East Lansing? Just go to the next town over and ask for a few extra bags with your order.

I hope you are correct but I have little faith, the power of the ILP curse is strong and well known to rise up at the worst possible time.

If Riverman comes back and starts dropping stacks on Michigan to win we're definitely still doomed.

We didn't get into this but yeah, he does. He's been absolutely elite the last few weeks. Cockburn has been really good, but he's a complementary piece, Dosunmu makes that team go. Garza is still relentless but hasn't been quite as effective lately and he'll never be any good at defense. I'd probably still go Garza but it's close.

I haven't really paid any attention to the WCC, is it historically weak this year and padding their efficiency margin? Gonzaga's obviously very very good but I haven't gotten any best evar sense when I've watched them.

Well my statement isn't really that big of a deal. We're talking about the best team in program history vs a cute small school that gets overrated EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Seriously tho, how much equity did we have down 2 in the waning seconds. 20%? 10%? The game was lost before that play. When I think of C-Webb only one word comes to mind and it's not "timeout". It's winner. The fact that he's not in the HOF yet is a HUGE embarrassment to the sport of basketball.

Gonzaga's #1 2pt offense vs Michigan's #1 2 pt defense is a matchup we need
