This is fine...

If we had lost to Michigan St I would be full on panic.

Instead I am currently full on confused.

This season is like max ride the Cal train

FREE JAMES WISEMAN!

Chances he only gets like a 9-10 game ban?

Bruce Pearl tho

tOSU has me worried. UNC's first "real" game this season is against the Buckeyes in two weeks.

Actually I'm being a bit harsh on Pearl's record after taking a closer look. Solid coach.

Yah Pearl has been about as elite as you can be for only getting jobs at non-basketball schools.

Auburn's only had 3 25+ win seasons in school history, Pearl's had 2 of them (including the only 30 win season) and about to add another.

At Tennessee, Pearl's led 4 of the top 10 seasons in school history.

Same thing as Milwaukee. Has their 2 best seasons and only Sweet 16 in school history.

And he hasn't been at any of those schools longer than 6 seasons so the turnarounds have been rapid.

Only blemish on his record was Tennessee beginning to slip a bit in his 6th and final season there, but even then they were still an NCAA tournament team.

This Vermont/Virginia game could be a fun one down the stretch.

This Virginia game could be fun said noone 1 person ever.

Game's still in the 30s halfway thru the 2nd.

Lamb on Vermont was insane. 11th player to score 30 on a Tony Bennett Virginia team. His shooting stats don't really tell the story. He went 6-6 during one stretch from 3-pt range in the second half and then got fouled on the 7th and made all three FT's. For a while, it looked like a Carsen Edwards performance.

Virginia's backcourt is still struggling big time. Clark is the only one who can do anything. You can tell things are moving too fast for the young guys on offense. Can't make jumpers at all. They're still playing good defense, so hopefully they'll get used to things and find their shots.

virginias offense is terrible which significantly caps their ceiling

last night was the first game above 1ppp and they barely got there and they havent exactly played a murderers row of defenses

I agree. It's crazy how opposite the offense is from last year. Last year was dominated by elite guards plus Hunter. Shooting out the wazoo. Fantastic offense, despite the slow pace.

This year, the guards are all terrible except for Clark. And while he's already good, he has a definite ceiling because of his size. It's amazing how badly the team has shot from deep so far.

The bigs are really good this season and can even shoot from outside.

I do think the guards/young guys will get better as the season goes on. Woldetensae shot nearly 50% from three last year. Stattmann was recruited as a shooter. Both have good size for the 2-3 positions, too. Morsell is an athletic stud who showed he could light it up in high school. Everything is just moving too fast for them right now. They seem to rush shots; they don't look comfortable out there. As they get used to playing, they'll improve. Might not happen until next season, though.

But yeah, right now, the offense is hot garbage. They just need to feed the bigs and hope they can carry the team for now.

Auburn is somehow deeper than they were last year. Okoro is the real deal, and the 2 Edwards vs Okoro battles are going to have an unreal amount of NBA scouts at them.
