"Hey, I'd love to just let this story die, but some stuff might be coming out, and just wanted to say that at this point I'd be surprised if Nojel Eastern ever plays for Michigan.

I can tell you with certainty that Michigan did not mess with the kid and Juwan Howard is certainly not trolling Purdue on Twitter.

At this point, I am not even sure Michigan really recruited him.

He is not alone in that assessment. I already would put the chances at less than 50/50, since I'm pessimistic about the NCAA granting blanket transfer waivers and Eastern has no hardship case. I don't think he'd want to sit a year to play one, not when he's declared twice already.

But I'm just talking out my ass here, no inside scoop.

This whole thing is so odd, and sad. One of Michigan's beat writers asked Nojel's mom about him coming to Michigan and she said no comment. Just weird. If he does play there, at least you guys in AA only have to deal with him and her for a short time.

I wonder how much of a leash Ewing has. He keeps on swinging for the fences and missing on recruiting. He's in on several 4 and 5-star guys right now but up against tough competition. Now he's losing players left and right to transfer, including his best. Not a good look. The Big East is so damn strong right now. Gonna be tough to turn the tide in the next 2-4 years.

Ayo Dosunmu recently repinned this tweet he had last offseason which announced his return to Illinois. If he returns, I'm pretty sure hes a national POTY candidate. Illinois getting him and Kofi back probably makes them a preseason top 10 team I'd imagine?

Mike Miller is stepping down at Memphis to spend more time with his family. Timing seems very weird. I've read he was the primary recruiter for some of their recent highly rated recruits. There may be some recruiting violations coming Memphis way and maybe hes taking one for the team.
