Buffalo is also one win away from the entire big east not being ranked--what a fall that conference had.

Same with Illinois

Missouri Valley is straight trash this year, Loyola is also trash but hey you take the run like god one year part of it.

It's not gonna happen like Buffalo but Furman too is also their next game from possibly going unbeaten to the tournament. That'd be pretty amazing RUSTLING of the Billy Packers of the world if Buffalo/Furman/etc get seeds over the BLUE BLOODS OF THE NCAA. (they'll both lose at least one conf game then everybody's going to scream BAD LOSS OMG and I'm just gonna be like ffs, stop) I don't care that kenpom actually hates furman atm but they're @ LSU so we'll see.

(shame both WV and Nova immediately dropped like a stone but they are certainly tournament teams right now)

That would be hilarious, as would the politicking to avoid having Dook as their #2 (if Dook wasn’t a 1 for whatever reason)

Just not seeing anywhere close to #1 seed potential even if Buffalo goes undefeated.

Three road wins against teams that will likely end up somewhere in bubble vicinity isn't going to impress the committee enough with a relatively weak conference. I think their cap is likely being a #2 seed but most likely a 3.

Buffalo has essentially a zero chance of a 1 seed no matter how their season plays out.

UK's giant weakness so far has been 3's. Both in guarding and making. I expect UNC to double Reid down low and dare us from 3's. If we aren't hitting it will be a long game...

I thought this UK team would be elite from the get go...and yeah no...

I'm expecting UNC to win...UK will probably try to run with UNC and I don't think that will work out. Not to the extent of that god forsaken Duke game...

Also yeah, I liked the home and home as well
if the low post is one of UK's strengths, then Saturday's game will never be out of reach for UK. i can say that much.

UK ranks 185th in AdjT, so it might be tough for UNC (8th AdjT) to push the pace to our liking. we'll see if UK can stay disciplined and deliberate with regards to pace. always a key when teams play UNC.

finally let's hope Raftery is on the call.

Actually Furman's conference has some kind of automatic tie in to the NIT, so if they do succeed in going undefeated, they would be rewarded by having to play in the NIT.

They actually would need to lose at least one game (presumably, the conference tournament championship) to get into the NCAA tourney.

There’s a top ten team here in this AU NCSt game but you’ll never guess which one!

That's not how it works.

The NIT awards mid-major regular season champs automatic bids. Thus, if Furman were to win the regular season then not win the conference tournament, they would at least get an NIT bid.

I'm 99% sure that those automatic bid teams are not obligated to play in the NIT. If Furman gets an auto bid into the NIT but is selected for the NCAA tourney, they would go to the NCAA tourney.

Why is Dick Vitale still commentating, or why was he ever allowed?

Bc espn is **** and a dook cheerleading network so it makes sense to have your biggest star color commentator also be their biggest fan. That said I think he’s a great guy.

TT better not blow my +8.5, +9.5, +10, and ML bets

Lol at that call on Zion’s 5th
12-20-2018 , 10:04 PM
I took it at +10, they're certainly going to **** this up.

edit: Mother****ing godamnit.

Well **** TT. Nice last 5 min. Dominate the entire game and lose by 11
12-20-2018 , 10:19 PM
That’s not an entirely fair characterization. You’re right that it wa much closer than an 11-point game, but Duke was what, 0-15 on threes?

Serious LOL

LOL @ the notion of fouling out.

Edit: Both NCAA and NBA should get rid of fouling out and just award a (an extra) free throw for future fouls. People pay damn good money to see the stars play.

Watching hack-a-shaq was the dullest thing in the world, so no, we should not do this.

Yes, yes we should.

Everybody knows watching free throws in the final minute is the most exciting part of the game.

Spoiler:
I should note that is sarcasm, because apparently some people actually believe it to be true.

So is NC State good?

Keatts definitely a winner though

the jury is still out as a result of their 344th ranked SOS. we'll get some answers once ACC play begins in early January.

The Pac 12 is so terrible. One bid league.

Truth but they did beat Auburn and outclassed Wisky for 35 minutes on the road. I do think an athletic ass team will give us all kind of fits.

the AU win was solid and a resume stuffer. let there be no doubt about that. NCSU def on the rise. could def see a top 4 ACC regular season finish.

dang just looked at kenpom and NCSU is 7th in 3PT%. the UNC (UNC 8th AdjT, NCSU 12th) games are going to have the tempo of an NBA game.
12-21-2018 , 11:09 PM
Maybe about time for Penn St to give up on Pat Chambers. They have scored 8 pts in the last 15 mins and turned a 14 pt lead into a 12 pt deficit. They always kill their bubble chances in November/December.

of course now they make a quick run to tie it up
