Luke Maye from "walk-on"
Spoiler:
he was actually never a walk-on
to pre-season All-American. And already a Tar Heel legend.

Should be another big year for the ACC.

Looking for IU vs Maryland and Purdue action.

Lol Happ as an All-American

Feel like there’s such little value in Futures this year.

Hate taking any of the favorites. First team I think could have any value is Virginia at +1650 on 5Dimes.

Also like Syracuse, think they’ll finally be better than a bubble team for the first time in what feels like a decade.

Longshots I like include Kansas State at 100/1 and Virginia Tech at 80/1

Good God the ACC is stacked this year

Go IU (and maybe Pitt doesn't embarrass themselves as much as last year)
10-31-2018 , 11:36 PM
Why isn't Villanova in the Champions Classic?
10-31-2018 , 11:44 PM
They're more of a new champion, not a classic one.

Some fun Ethan Happ facts:

Ethan Happ has lead his team in every major statistical category the past two years with the only exception being he was second two years ago in scoring by a half a point.

Hes finished top 10 in KenPom player of the year the past two seasons - nobody has ever done that three times so he has a chance to become the first to do so this year.

Ethan Happ is my Aaron Craft memorial award winner for "WTF, he still has another year?" award

Auburn 40/1 could be nice if you're looking to bet on them to win in Maui and sell it off post-Duke game. More likely you can buy them for much cheaper post-Maui because they only have 7 healthy scholarship players to start, including one coming back from a completely ruined leg. They play Washington at home and (probably) Duke early, but they get Doughty and Purifoy back in December; Wiley back in mid-late November. Anything greater than 60/1 with a healthy roster is an absolute steal.

They return the same team (minus Heron+undersized PF transfer to WKU in Murray+McLemore's leg) and add Doughty+Purifoy+Wiley+a leap in play/minutes for Chuma Okeke. I love Pearl but he completely mismanaged Okeke last year. That guy is an absolute stud. A deep ten-man rotation avoids a Big 12 opponent in January, gets Kentucky twice and Tennessee at home. With how deep they are, they should easily be a 4 seed again at worst. Somewhere between Maui and NC State on 12/19 should be great value.

Tennessee 50:1 and Wisconsin 100:1 is super solid value. I like Michigan too bc at this point how do you bet against a Beilein team showing up in March.

I wonder if all the people who voted Michigan State in the top 25 preseason poll realize 60% of their starting lineup will be comprised of Matt McQuaid, Josh Langford, and Kenny Goins (lol)

Theyre a real threat to miss the tournament altogether, yet there they are - in the top 15 of the AP Poll.

I don't think Michigan is great value at 30 or 40-1, but I want to find some longshot odds on Ignas Bradzeikas being Big Ten POY or National POY

Kansas State is winning it all IMO

Or Oregon, who is absolutely loaded and has a cake walk to a 1-2 seed

Duke is not going to be that good.

They're going to try a ton of configurations of playing 3 Power Forwards at the same time and none of them are gonna work. But they're not gonna bench any of the top recruits because then top recruits would stop coming to Duke. Also their guards aren't good enough.

Why I wish they'd let a handful of weeks go by before voting. If voters get it wrong on a top 10ish team and they lose a couple early they are always stubborn in admitting they might be wrong and keep them in that 20ish territory. Useless.

Zion plays a position called Zion so it just depends if they can make 2 PFs work.
