Syracuse is going to be absolutely terrible this year. Don't know anything about Cornell but they're probably a good bet tonight.

They'll still beat Duke because it's what they do.

Guy (sans bun I've heard) is a guy who will be looked upon to provide consistent scoring. I think he'll be up for and meet the challenge. Hall and Jerome round out a solid backcourt. We'll see how well Johnson adjusts to the bright lights of the ACC.

Obviously having a healthy Wilkins back will serve the team well. Let's hope he's able to take the court at full-strength throughout the season. The key piece in UVa's season though could very well be the play of Diakite. Can the second year player log consistent minutes (i.e. stay out of foul trouble) and provide the anchor in the paint as a rim protector night in and night out? If yes, UVa is going to enjoy a memorable season imo.
to me this is pretty spot on. i think there are just more question marks about what will happen this year because none of our familiar work horse players are left. most players are unproven or when playing just haven't really shined like their predecessors. the team is probably more talented than it's been in the last 5 years though, so i think you kind of have to assume much dropoff is unlikely if you give tony bennett any credit at all.

By the way, Duke nabbed the top overall prospect in RJ Barrett - Canadian who killed team USA this past summer.

If you combined the best players from Pitt with the best players from IU, would that team cover a +15 spread vs Indiana State at home

I'm going to commit to try to follow NCAA basketball this year. Every year I say that, but this year I probably mean it. Tough getting back into a sport when you haven't watched a dozen games in a dozen years though. Besides Georgia (lol), I don't even know who to root for. Used to be UNC.

Hold on a sec - I have this UCLA/GT game from China on right now. They were showing what the teams did in the days before the game. UCLA went to...Disney? A team from L.A. went all the way to China and they spent a day at ****ing Disney? Come on.
