Plus the offense outside of Hunter Dickinson and Jett Howard (if he gets open 3s) can charitably be described as a "work in progress".

That's a crazy line.

Tyler Wahl currently 33/77 from 2 point range and 1/11 from 3. 6'9 senior center.

Chucky Hepburn is now 15/53!! from 2 point range. He is 14/33 from 3 after tonights 6/11 performance. Not sure how these 2 ended up preseason all Big Ten over Xavier Johnson.

I think Howard pushed off before the Virginia guy slapped down but found it funny that Dykes says the guy was strait up when he swiped towards the wrist/ball

Illinois plays at Maryland Friday in the first B1G game of the year. Feels like both those teams are in the group of legitimate contenders to win the league so far so kind of a great game to open league play.

He can def shoot it and he is elite off the ball offensively. His question will be defending and if he can grow a bit more to catch his dad who is 6'7 and went from 6'2 to 6'7 frosh year of college.

He is going to be good... huge reason because he can shoot.. He made some elite passes tonight, luka style for wide open 3s. he would have gotten more offers, but he did commit right after the offer... same as Jack Benter... Benter may title the next 2 seasons...built a helluva program after his dad rolled me out on the wing season 1.

not a well officiated game. They called 9 fouls in the first 5 minutes. And decided maybe that was too many so just swallowed whistle a lot after, Rutgers took advantage on the offensive glass. Bummer Hood-Schifino was out, I think he would have been able to find Kopp even more as Rutgers basically left him open every possession but couldn't seem to get it to him enough and instead ended up with some highly contested close in 2s. Hopefully play better next Saturday when I'm in Vegas for the IU/Zona game.
