Unfortunately for UNC, they can't play Michigan every week.

lol dook indeed.

this after K played the 'covid' card and cancelled two difficult conference away games:

12/29/21 at Clemson
1/1/22 at N.D.

let's see if he pulls the same move for their next scheduled game Wed at Wake. we shouldn't put it past him, as he's been a lifelong fraud.

I dont know how the ACC got to this point. When I was growing up, it was always an elite conference. Now, it may not even get 3 bids. The SEC, on the other hand, is kind of loaded with great teams and they are recruiting at a high level. That SEC football money is elevating the basketball product.

It is a pretty incredibly down year. Must be one of those things where every single team happens to be a bit worse than normal all at the same time. But they win like every other title and have 7 of the top 25 recruiting classes for next year (including #1). I think they'll be ok.

i was led to believe that this was Purdue's year. that they'd reach their first F4 in 42 years (yes, 42 years). many of you weren't even alive then.

i was lied to.
No one to blame but yourself.

Is Baylor just going to be a powerhouse from now on?

As long as Scott Drew is there. I don't know what Baylor will look like post Scott Drew, but Scott Drew is now clearly top top tier coach.

Which I can't believe I would have said 2 years ago

I just don't see it for LSU. I am not convinced that Will Wade actually knows how to coach basketball. They're really talented but I have zero faith in them actually getting better as the season goes on.

Don't know how real this USC team is, but the headlines about them not being this highly ranked in 50 years takes me back to the early 70's when they played mega dynasty UCLA in the last game of the regular season, and UCLA had to win the game to get in the NCAA Tournament. Un effin' believable the drama of that. Paul Westphaul and the boys were 24-2 with both losses to UCLA close.

This checked out. Herb covered up so much for them and looks pretty good in the NBA. KenPom had them at either #8 or #9 to start the year, and the media hype was absurd. Davison is pretty good, but the rest of their roster can't sniff last year's. Quinerly passing up a wide open 3 to airball a layup vs Auburn was one of the funniest moments of the year.

lol polls obv, but Gonzaga is #1 in the new poll with 25 first place votes, Auburn #2 with 36 first place votes. I've never seen that before.

Needless to say Auburn fans are a little upset this guy ranked Auburn 9th and Gonzaga 1st

I'd be shocked if there is a more negative what do you think of this ballot in recent history

(But I mean Auburn fans are correct)

I've read that this guy does an average of KenPom, Torvik, Sagarin, and others and just uses it as his poll.

It kinda reminds me of Miami fans whining about being unranked after a decent ACC start. It's like, yah your record is ok, but your power rating is 55-60 so you can't complain too much.

Pearl wouldn't leave Auburn for Maryland.

There is however a coach that Maryland should go get. He's right up the Acela Corridor in New Rochelle, New York.

Bring Rick Pitino to Maryland!
