North Carolina-Indiana game highlights men's ACC/Big Ten Challenge

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...-ten-challenge

time for a little payback imo. UNC's last trip to Bloomington was a 9 point loss in Nov. 2016.

i hate it when they don't release how/why someone dies, natural causes literally isn't a thing, people don't just die, it's always something specific and natural causes is doctor speak for "there's a number of things that could have killed this person that wasn't an accident nor murder and so it's not worth figuring out what specifically it was because they were old and **** happens and we can't dedicate resources for intensive autopsies on every 70 year old who dies in their sleep"

but it seems in this case natural cases may be code for taking his own life

very confusing, usually wikipedia is a good resource for finding cause of death but they don't mention anything beyond the date

Lol. Begged Michigan to take him for months only to finally accept Eastern Michigan. What a tumble his stock has taken the past year.

Yeah that's a rough trajectory.

Ages 14-17: Consensus future #1 Draft Pick
Age 18: Bench Warmer on a Bubble Team
Age 19: Down transferring to Eastern Michigan

Damn unc lost a big time recruit. Seems like a sketchy situation with JC Jackson but good luck at USCe. Congrats to GoldenBears who got 3rd in the 50k at the wsop!

i must say, Stoops' anger is understandable

Yeah...look. Yes, Kentucky is a basketball school, and Georgia is a football school.

But Cal, I love you man, but you don't say that out loud. Stoops has apparently said one of his biggest recruiting hurdles is fighting that Kentucky is a basketball school that doesn't care about football.

was surprised to learn that there's no UK cbb museum on campus. so much tradition, so much success. that needs to be part of any new facility build

Thanks, was a fun way to close out the summer

WV is going to the Iowa State route of replacing basically their entire team next year:

McNeil, Bridges, Cottrell and a bunch of backups all gone. Gabe, Taz and Curry graduated.

Then imported 80% of a starting 5 that might actually be pretty decent?

PG - Joe Toussaint from Iowa, who logged 0.0/+3.7 bpm and was #6 on their team in bpm
SG - Erik Stevenson from South Caro, who logged +3.2/+2.4 in bpm, and was #1 on their team in bpm and #2 in ws/40
SF - Emmitt Matthews Jr who returns after 1 year at Washington, who logged +1.5/-0.1 bpm and was #2 on their team in bom and #3 in ws/40
C - Tre Mitchell from Texas, who logged +4.3/+3.9 bpm and was #1 on their team in bpm and #3 in ws/40

So, according to the 5 minutes of stats I looked at, the most efficient player on Texas, South Carolina and 2nd most efficient on Washington and an average Iowa player who seems like a perfect fit for Huggins? Plus Kobe and Kedrian Johnson returning and three juco bigs and a 3* freshman big?

On paper, could certainly be a top-25 team if everything meshes well

Joe Toussaint is a Huggy Bear guard if I've ever seen one. Perfect fit for him landing at WV. Can't shoot at all but is lightning quick and can pressure the hell out of guards.

Yeah we had one at one point

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...ory?id=3470465

But it was adjacent to Rupp Arena not at Rupp Arena. Which was the massive mistake. I never visited it when it was around. I mean ****, I checked out Louisville's museum when I attended a concert there (no extra charge, would not have paid a penny).

lol preach brother Boeheim, preach

Jim Boeheim says success measured by NCAA tourney, takes shot at Big Ten

Quote:
"At the end of the day, you play for the [NCAA] tournament," Boeheim said Friday at his team's media day. "You can say what you want about the Big Ten. They sucked in the tournament. To me, that's what they did. All of their wins were in their league. If you can't play in the [NCAA] tournament, then you're not good."
Quote:
Last season, the Big Ten secured nine NCAA tournament bids on Selection Sunday but only Michigan and Purdue reached the second weekend. Both teams were eliminated in the Sweet 16, extending the drought of a league that hasn't captured the national championship since 2000.
Quote:
"Kansas was the best team [last year]," Boeheim said. "But the best league? What league won 14 games and only lost five [in the NCAA tournament]? The ACC. To me, that's the best league."

great move by CBS. good riddance. Nantz' MM cbb run has become stale (plus it was obv he was rooting for dook in K's last game during their F4 loss to UNC). heck, even Grant Hill was being more professional during the game

Eagle an excellent choose to succeed him

Jim Nantz to call last Final Four in 2023; Ian Eagle to take over

Have a slight preference for Kevin Harlan over Ian Eagle, but glad they're getting someone to replace Nantz.

Always bugged me as a fan of CBB that the guy that does the biggest games of the year literally starts doing games at the semis of the Big Ten Tournament.
