Purdue with a lot of nice pieces on their team.

UNC missing their primary perimeter defender (Black) who was a surprise scratch with a non-Covid related illness.

If the Heels can clean up our guard play in the second half, we might be able to keep this interesting.

Williams and Bacot with 4 fouls each.

need to beat their guards here on out and we can clip them.

I'll spot you Gonzaga as the best team, but Purdue is definitely #2. They are so loaded offensively.

Nope. Mando being in foul trouble didn’t help. But we hung with the #6 team in the country. All in all, I feel pretty good.

Heels clearly outmatched. we'll be taking our lumps here in the early going. Roy's teams would peak in March. the book is out on Hubert's teams.

you follow cbb more than i do NotRedd. even so, i think your black and gold tinted glasses lead you to believe your team is the second best team in the country. it's a quality team, but it doesn't strike me as a title winning type of team. plus, Painter hasn't really had much NCAAT success. perhaps you're right though. Purdue will def be battle tested after playing in the B1G this season.

hope we get another crack vs you guys in March.

their bigs put Mando in foul trouble.

they outclassed us across the board. that said, if Leaky plays we probably cover the 7.5 spread.

Watched them last week and didn't see anything peculiar. Don't see anything peculiar from their roster last year

my earlier hot take on Purdue appears to be way off. they were impressive this weekend. i understand that 'Nova is a six man team and Purdue caught them on back-to-back games (it was apparent 'Nova lost their legs in the endgame vs Purdue), but you can't hold that against Purdue.

Notredd, not sure if you're an Athletic subscriber, but today's A1 article is about a reporter being embedded with the team this past weekend. the A1 articles are very comprehensive. DM if you don't have access to the article and i'll be happy to send it to you (should you have an interest).

Yeah Purdue's offensive talent is insane. Its on the level of Iowa of the past couple years, Gonzaga last year, and Nova of years past.

-Both starting and backup center are in KenPom's top 10 for KenPom player of the year
-Jaden Ivey is pretty clearly the best guard in the nation and looking like a top 5 pick
- 4 other rotation players are shooting 44% or better from 3.

Top 20 in offensive rebound %, 3 point %, 2 point %, and top 100 in FT%.

They are a huge favorite to be #1 in KenPom adjusted offense this year, the only question remains whether they field a good defense or continue being terrible defensively as they've been first 5 games.

Arizona looks really good to me. They are #1 in Torvik when you take out the preseason stuff and sort by just this years results. They dominated Michigan. They haven't even shot well either, only 31% from 3.

Starting line of Jefferson 6’9, Offurum 6’8 and Opoku 6’9
All really long and athletic
