McLovin is so wholesome that he took the over for 3 teams and said everything else looked about right

Wizards over is the best bet. The money will come in for sure.
They won 34 games in the 72 game season.

Eh they were 17-32, and then went 17-6 to close it out. I hate on Westbrook as much as anyone but now their 2nd best player is…Dinwiddie coming off an injury? Rui to make a leap? I’d lean towards under.

Hate to say it but Lakers over and Clippers under look solid to me. Clips in playoffs without Kawhi was unsustainable, playing 6 guys 38 minutes a night, George driving 20 times a game. Was a fun run, but I think it’ll be tough for them to stay .500 honestly.

Utah under 54.5 sounds good too. They had everything clicking last year, teams are better, etc.

Is Lebron not older and this not the worst supporting cast he's had in LA since the Davis trade?

it would have been, but their signings were nice (monk, ariza, ellington).

betting on teams that disappointed in the regular season after very short bubble turnaround makes sense too (though i wouldn't touch heat at their line since they are using 14 roster spots, 13 if you dont' include ud, and then a couple of guys at the bottom are totally unproven)

The Lakers bubble team was 52-19 when they stopped playing and their 3-7 minutes guys for the regular season we’re KCP/Kuzma/Danny Green//Avery Bradley/Rondo/Dwight.

Now it’s like Westbrook/THT/Melo/Nunn/Monk/Dwight? Doesn’t seem worse to me.

Honestly the others don’t even matter, it’s just a bet on LeBron not being too old and AD playing like 70 games.

Warriors having the 3rd best title odds seems crazy to me- Klay hasn't played in two years & I don't think 2016 Draymond is going to be on the team this year.

Voted Lakers because I'm a homer and I want to speak into existence.

I was thinking similar plus even if Klay comes back 100%, seems like the Steph/Klay backcourt won't give GS the advantage over the league they had in their peak years. Still very good, but not outlier good in terms of exploiting 3FGs.

Not enough HAWKS in the title pole

I wouldn't be looking to give Trae reasons to feel disrespected this season

Which teams would you put ahead on them?

Nets, Lakers, and Bucks were ahead of them in the one I saw out there. Other than that do you really think that there a many teams with a better upside than the Warriors?

It's possible the Warrior team from last year would have given a team like Utah, the 1 seed, a run in the first round for example.

Draymond played elite last year on defense and did his thing to set up the offense. They have alot of young high picks and other role players which haven't played in a Steph and Klay lineup yet. Maybe there is some variance in what you might get with the team this upcoming year compared to other teams but I think their possible ceiling is still very high compared to most teams.

If we then consider the stacked teams at top baring no injury give me a lineup with Steph and others, maybe a 75% Klay everyday at a chance to upset it over the likes of many of those other teams; Utah, Philly, Atl, Phoenix, etc.

Boston re-upped Smart at 4/77 with an if traded kicker. This closes out Boston's ability to simple sign a max free-agent in 2022; as it now stands, they would have to work a sign & trade.

Getting a flyer on Jarrett Culver and Juancho for Beverly's expiring is a greattttttt deal for them.

Culver is a guy who based on his college career, seemed like he wouldnt become a decent NBA player for at least 3-5 years. He is in year 3 and 22 years old.

in college, He shot 34% from 3 on 300 attempts, 70% from the FT line in 300 attempts.

PS Thought Marcus Smart was like 30, but this is his year 27 season, so the contract is bad but could end up being decent if he shoots 36% from 3

Nets/Lakers are big favorites this year, so looking for the 3rd best title odds is almost as much about variance as it is quality.

Utah is more likely to be better than the warriors, and if given the opportunity to bet on their games this year at even $, I'd bet on Utah, but I think there is ~0 chance Utah is elite, whereas there is a small chance GSW could turn out to be (Klay is fully recovered, Steph and Dray are still steph and dray and don't have an old guy falloff, and they get surprising upside development from their young guys)

Philly and Denver are also both good with some real upside vol. I've been a big Ben Simmons defender on here all year, and they were already the 1 seed in the east last year. Some combinations of Ben Simmons learning to shoot even a little, breakout improvements from their young guys, Embiid taking it to the next level, or Simmons getting moved for a great piece could make them elite.

Denver prob isn't there yet and idk how long Murray is out, but they've had a consistently upward trajectory for a couple years now. MPJ making the leap and Murray being 100% by playoffs would make them pretty tough. I assume Jokic is at his peak, but could be wrong there
