Heck. At 40 he’s still gonna be roughly the same player that he is now imo. He’s a once in a 50~ year time period genetic freak. Wilt is only one else who really comes to mind. Shaq could’ve had more titles and obv was a freak but he preferred to eat 10 Big Macs instead of having 10 rings with Kobe.
The wall hits hard and fast. Kobe was 34 and everyone was calling him Vino all year. Then one injury and rest if his career is 3 years of being mostly injured or terrible.
LeBron has dropped off plenty in the last 2 years athletically. His shooting and passing skills are still amazing, but he's nowhere near as fast or explosive as he once was. I doubt he'll be a top 10 player in the league at 40. I'm assuming he still is now, when healthy, a top 5 ish player.
