However

Westbrook is actively hurting the team so much. Some team has gotta want the Lakers 27 unprotected FRP with a wink wink agreement that Brodie will take a halfway decent buyout upon trading.

My guess is Westbrook.

Only really stupidly managed teams will give anything of value for Westbrook, or even want him. Someone looking to tank for a top draft pick while still selling tickets (he might actually help with the tanking). Who is that dumb? Oklahoma surely knows better. A Fultz-Westbrook backcourt would be a thing of wonder.

Still probably isn't good enough and I don't love Harris's fit but he's the only other toxic contract that might be able to be swapped for Russ and whatever assets the Lakers have left. THT probably isn't even positive value.

On a related note, I think it's likely the Kings get Simmons and the Sixers get Haliburton, Barnes, + other assets and dump Tobias's contract. Based on what I know of Morey he will value Haliburton's contract and want to create more salary flexibility by getting off Harris. A top 25 player isn't coming available. This is the next best thing.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Kings do something like this given their history but this would be a HORRIBLE trade for them in my opinion. I wouldn't trade Haliburton for Simmons straight up

I wouldn't deal Haliburton if I were the Kings. He's young, shown promise, and has JUST been given the reigns of major ball handling duties. Let the dude develop a little bit, ya know!

Agreed. I think a Fox for Sabonis swap (If the pacers go for it) would be great for Sac. They also have a bunch of pieces to throw at Boston if Jaylan Brown is available. Chances are they don't do any of this and build around Fox or Simmons and don't make the playoffs for the next 7 years.

OG with an incredibly dangerous defensive play on Jimmy - doesn't allow him to land and almost injures him ala Gordan Hayward. Maybe he's just frustrated that he's added nothing to his bag, and as a result his shooting splits are a career worst
