I firmly believe casuals overestimate the impact he's going to make. I also believe there is an universe in which he doesn't get drafted with an MVP & a DPOY but by a bad franchise instead and he'd be considered an average player
I was just answering a question.

I'm not expecting much really. But one thing he will provide is spacing. No one will be leaving him.

I just want to see him back because he seems like a legitimately good bloke.

He'd also be good in a bad team. He's not going to be a Top 10 player or anything, but still All Star level. An average player is obviously laughable.

I've seen very few NBA games in person but I was so impressed with the cutting/movement of Klay when I saw the Warriors. Durant being able to get to his spot at will, Curry's shooting was amazing but I was so impressed with the IQ of Klay to alternate between getting open for 3s/cutting to the basket. I think he will be quite good pretty quickly.

Pretty much this. At full health, Klay is a Kyle Korver level shooter who offers much more than Korver as an athlete, cutter, and defender. However good you think that player is, that's how good Klay is. No matter what the Warriors announcer may think, Klay isn't a top 75 player in league history. He isn't especially close to that level imo. He is in a perfect situation with the Warriors.

That said, I'm obviously rooting for full health. He seems to be one of the more well-liked guys in the league.

Agree on Klay being top 75 oat being pretty laughable, he was never a top 10 player in the NBA

but he was always someone that everyone liked and had no polarization whatsoever

Kyle Korver is like a Top 10 all time 3pt shooter.

A Korver who is at least average at everything else, and doesn’t have the glaring limitations Korver does is like a top 15-20 guy in the league, imo. The ease of fit is just incredibly valuable. Teams pay through the nose for Joe Harris and Duncan Robinson types who are an order of magnitude worse than peak Klay.

ya Klay doesn't make cut. neither should Russ nor Dame since they were fringe top 10 players at their peak, but the way top 75 works is that it ignores players that came in the last 5-7 years cuz they just don't have the body of work yet (Jokic), but can't re-integrate old guys, so there's a few to many contemporaries.

hopefully Russ can humiliate on a few more teams, so that people finally realize what his true impact on the court is, and yank him from the top 75.

Dame loves to shut down these rumors that he's unhappy so much that I wonder if the team just leaks them so that he can puff his chest out and re-affirm his commitment

Dame *HAS* to shut down the rumors or he gets fined. It's pretty cut and dry stuff. Auto-fine.

Dame don't wanna eat an NBA sandwich that has less cheddar on it.

Grant Williams is 50/40/90 through 24 games; it's been a bit of time since he caused me to scream at the television. Of greater import, Tatum's floor play has jumped a level in the last three weeks.

Thats what always gets suggested. Basically Wiseman and another piece or two for Turner. This is basically a "Hey Pacers. You guys suck, take our scraps so we can rang!"

The Pacers have zero rim protection without Myles, who's having his best year this year at both ends. Domas is great on offense, but so limited defensively that he can be replaced.
