Davis is notoriously always hurt.

Kawhi and PG are load management trailblazers and they’re playing like 40 mins game so far.
Yeah seems odd. Also counterpoint is Denver didn't load manage and turned to dust by the end of the year. I'm sure you can overdo it either way, but Kyrie getting hurt had little to do with load management imo.

There's probably copyright infringement issues, but besides that, I'd love a framed 3'x5' poster of that to hang on my wall.

I just got Philly 7-1 to title on nitro if anyone is on there, that is an absurd price

I'll probably get Philly in the +200ish range to win the east now that the nets are all banged up. I favor them over the Bucks and the idea the Nets get these guys back, beat the Bucks and are just ready to roll in the next rd seems long a longshot at this point.

I'm struggling on what my final evaluation for Nuggets should be. On one hand, they lost to a good team.

On the other hand, they didn't win a single game in the series against to a non-dominant team, a team that looked like it may have been swept in the first round without a fully healthy chris paul.

Jokic's stats also seemed underwhelming - i was expecting at least one big game. Mvp-caliber players should normally be able to steal at least one game from the better seed, right? Assuming a passable roster.

For future reference 32/20/10 is not considered a big game.

lol those stats man...
Remember when someone scoring 30+ in a playoff game was a huge deal? Or when an and-one-three happened like once in a whole season?

Spoiler:

Those games from Giannis are getting more and more bizarre. When he came into the league his shot looked perfectly fine, shooting 34.7% from deep. Now every shot - even from midrange - looks atrocious and he's having trouble not airballing free throws (if he gets them off in time). Someone in Milwaukee really ****ed up here. I mean Giannis with a shot absolutely had GOAT potential. Maybe Dirk can help out with some personal coaching to solve this mess?

Durant doesn’t have the makeup to carry a team to victory. He’s the guy in the bar talking **** because he thinks his friends are behind him, but when he turns around and sees they aren’t there, he’s like “guys I was just kidding.”

Maybe he’ll find a way to join the Bucks by the end of the series.

There's been almost 600 triple doubles over the last 5 seasons, and only 2 occurrences of someone going 32/20/10.

Lol at trading Porter.

Let’s remind ourselves that Denver just came off two long playoff runs in ten months, and their best player didn’t miss a game during all of it. Every Conference final team from went out in spectacular fashion even earlier, and even the teams that made it to the second round last year have struggled. I don’t think it’s a fluke that the top teams this year were all either out of the playoffs or swept out of the bubble early in 2020.

There is not a single player that could have taken Denver further unless you can get in a time machine and bring back 2005-2014 Lebron, let’s be real.

The list of fan bases who are going to argue their team would have won it all/gotten farther if their team was just healthy is really long this year:

Won it all: Lakers, Brooklyn, Denver

Gotten farther: GSW, Miami, Toronto, Boston, Indiana, Dallas (? If Luka doesn’t injure his neck), Charlotte

Were mostly healthy going into the playoffs but had their seeding affected by injuries: Portland, Washington, Memphis

Rest assured, next week we’re going to get pieces about how the teams that made it this far got there because they were the healthiest all season: Mil, Phi, Phx, Utah/LAC. And even those teams have been hit by injuries during the playoffs (Embiid, Conley, Mitchell, CP3, and then smaller role players like Divencenzo, Ibaka, Danny Green).

I don’t think this is solely a bubble vs not bubble thing either. Basketball is a hard sport on the body and injuries happen.

Does he really have that kind of juice? I thought he’s like a Sethypooh/Kirk Goldsberry type who gives them some sims and new data sets and then the “personnel people” do as they do.

Then again maybe he’s got Cuban’s ear because Hbob wowed him with how he got in early on Bitcoin. Bet this boils down to him calling some out some old heads for being dumb about something and they’re coming back at him.
