Nesmith's development should be hot-housed the rest of the way: 38 minutes a night. Put Pritchard on the floor; cut some of Smart and Walker's time. Let Fall play in RWilliams' (assuming he's done) place to see if Fall has any chance of keeping up with game speed.
He had Nesmith at 13 mins vs Bulls a couple of game ago. Why? Because he was scoring 16 a game too much, getting too comfortable shooting the 3, getting too much good press. Have to keep him down. He who shall not be named has to keep him down... I am not talking about him...You know none of the above will happen.
He played Edwards vs the Heat and Pritchard the same 13 mins. Why? Because it's random and makes no sense in a team supposedly getting ready for the playoffs. Big article in Athletic on PP. You got to pump his ego, go for it. Strike while the iron is hot. He does the opposite. With Nesmith and PP, cuts them down. Like he did with Rob his whole career. Yet that mfer G. Williams can do no wrong. You can't just play your backup point guard PP, a rookie, who was on fire from 3, but needs to learn a lot...you cant play him a lot of minutes to get him ready? Guess not.
He gave Jabari some minutes after none for two weeks after 3 games of decent production. Why? Because it's clicking buttons. Because idk why.
Rob's health is disappointing, but "turf toe" isn't chronic. His knee tendonitis...Embiid was like that early in his career. I don't think you can count on him, but I'm not ready to say he will always be like this.
With turf toe, no surprise he is out. Probably until post season.
