Nuggets D is super impressive. Malone has them flying around. There was a possession in the middle of the 1st that ended in Blake hitting the side of the backboard that was super elite ball movement by the Nets. Against most they shoulda had a few diff great looks but the Nuggets were rotating with fury.

I'm skeptical the offense can hold up. Jokic is all time, MPJ has been great, but I'd bet on regression from him in the postseason. Not much else beyond the two of them, it's gonna take a Herculean effort from Jokic.

Not sure what you mean by regression from MPJ, he’s been an elite shooter his whole life. He will probably settle in with 43-45% on high volume. They should be a lot better offensively with monte back and hopefully Will later in round 1 or round 2 if they get there.

They were without Millsap, Gordon, Murray, Morris, dozier, and Barton. Decent showing given all that on a b2b they weren’t really needing to win (hence the scratches). They’ll get Dallas for round 1 and I like them if only barely. Round 2 vs Utah is probably a 30/70 for them, so better than last year

What I mean is he's a #2 scorer who has been assisted on almost 80% of his baskets, with almost 75% of his shots being in the restricted area or 3s. He's never been schemed against (at this level) in his entire life. A 7 game series just brings different levels of effort in terms of taking away top options. I'm extremely confident Jokic can overcome that bc he gets it every night. I think MPJ will be more at the mercy of the volatility of his semi-contested 3s going in or not.

This isn't some sort of hate on MPJ, he's 22 years old and has a 67% TS% and shooting 45% from 3. He's fantastic. And has plenty of time/skill to develop more of an arsenal that is less reliant on Jokic or exploiting bad defenses. Also keep in mind, "regression" from him could still be perfectly fine. I just think, without Murray, they need him to be his regular season super-efficient self, and that it's going to be far more difficult when he's getting much more attention.
