Last night's game was a bit of an anomaly as Malone/Murray/Jokic said that they weren't bringing the doubles so they just fed Jokic and stuck MPJ/Jamal in the two spots where the doubles usually come from.
I think tchaz is right that they've looked clunky at times, but they tended to look that way last year when they were fielding skeleton squads. Their normal group of Murray-Harris-Barton-Millsap-Jokic has been the tits for nearly four years, but when one or more are out it usually devolves to ISOball, which Denver is good at but it looks ugly at times.
Denver's been a better team this year than last, but it hasn't shown up in their record because they lost the close games that they won last year. At no point after 30 games last year did they sport a PD >3, and they are at +4.5 this year with an average SOS. What's crazy is their ORating is 4 points better and would count as the GOAT offense, but only ranks 5th this year.
