Zach Lowe says Luka Doncic has become one of the biggest whiners in the NBA

“Every time he drives he is whining. He spent so much energy whining to the referees and slumping his shoulders to teammates, it sucked the life of the team many times.”

Why I liked it for the Knicks. They lost out on the two top options but are still very live for the Process 2.0 and they haven't overpaid for anyone, preferring big short deals and drafting well (imo) given their rotten lottery luck thus far.
Yeah, I didn't like that they traded for the rights to overpay. But my real problem with Staps was that he posted that video of his offseason workout where he looked like he was doing his first physical therapy session after 10 years in a coma.

I think they specifically recorded the latest Duncan and Hollinger pod just to trigger me.

one of them had the nugs pretty high, no?

both were very low on the raps*, who they think might lose Masai, which I would hate to see

Both had Boston ahead of Denver for the next five years, Duncan didn't have Denver in his top 5 but did have Dallas and Miami. Luka isn't and will probably never be Jokic.

I don't think the Knicks just abruptly move on from Leon Rose so quickly for Masai but hey why not?

The contract is still awful but there may still be hope for him yet?
100% agree. Has been good for the Warriors this year. I've watched every game and the defensive effort has been solid the whole year.

He's been consistent too. 17 of his last 19 games, scoring between 15 and 22.

I say this after one of his worst games of the season last night.

Seems pretty fair to me, but you gotta throw in Bobby Webster to be GM too.

Edit: As I've read that Bobby is a major reason they've acquired and developed players as well as they have.

No Walker tonight.

Without Smart, Boston likely to have difficulties staying in front of Fox.

Both Barnes & Holmes usually give Boston trouble.

Sacramento 5-2 against the East.

Boston on a back-to-back.

Boston's trip gets harder from here: Clippers, Phoenix, Utah.

A loss tonight opens the possibility that Boston comes home under .500 (11-12) - which would lead to a Boston media meltdown.

The problem is they are not aware of their biases (mainly: overvaluing experience). So what that leads to is a confirmation bias. The "vets" (Payton/Bullock) are given every chance to prove they do not belong, while the kids (Frank/Obi/Knox) are given up on at first struggle.

And even before that, they're not really given much of a chance in the first place due to a lack of consistency in minutes/role. Obi has played ZERO minutes as a small-ball 5 this year. Zero. Because we need to give Nerlens freaking Noel minutes. The other night Noel missed the game due to some minor injury and, rather than using that as an opportunity to give Obi some more minutes, he dusted off Taj Gibson. It's just ridiculous.

There are certainly arguments to favor vets and create more of a winning culture. But the Knicks get better tomorrow if all Payton minutes are replaced with Frank. Not marginally better, much better. So you can't have it both ways. You can't say you're trying to win and then excuse a season's worth of bad play just because they're a few years older. It's nonsensical.

yep

For sure. Although in classic Knicks fashion they sort of backed into it. But Mavs fans were so arrogant afterwards it doesn't really matter. It's hilarious to watch.

Would love to hear your feedback!
Nope. don't be a hater.
