Was a serious strike against a smaller player.

That is a blow that is not fun to sustain.

I understand what you're saying. But a giant swiping down in anger against a 6 footer is problem nowadays (as it always should have been).

Yeah Jokic should hire a mental coach or something, he's not much different in the regular season: always need to flap his arms at the ref and take frustration fouls just to make a point, weirdo

He probably should lower his expectations for foul-calls in the playoff as well, every star gets hacked. I watched PJ tucker completely butcher KD's body all day long yesterday with little to no call against him

Agreed, he's Duncan with an MMA-fighting brother that likes to assault women accompanying the same bloodline.

He's a bad dude, but don't let the pudginess fool you.

Similarly, big Chris Paul fan but the occasional nut-punch isn't beyond him.

You take the good with the bad. Rather have a bro to reign in, as opposed to trying to hype him into caring.

I think a 7 foot CP3 would be more docile as he wouldn't have his NBA Napoleon-esque complex.

Didn’t someone take Stevens like 12th in a dynasty draft 5 years ago?

Not wrong maybe in reality, but the point is Chris Paul as currently constructed in a 7 foot body would be more prone to a flagrant 2 than he is delivering the same blow in natural form.

At a minimum, the windup is more evident with longer reach. Let alone the objective impact of the blow.

We all age together (ftmp).

In twenty years when there's some newly hyped coach we'll all have (to) some (degree more) skepticism.

Eewert won that draft by a mile it seems

Shootout to Exo for nailing Luka 4th only to associate him with Popovich, Isaac and Jabari

Gambling on MPJ’s defense to become non-targetable in Playoff series seems very risky. His movement in space when is aware is quite poor, and his awareness is just atrocious. Murray and Jokic are more than enough offensive stud to carry a team: they can both go for 35+ in any playoff game. Morris is a decent offensive player and can chip in 10-15, as can FVV. With Jokic’s limited mobility it is really hard to survive heavy high pick and roll playoff action against elite guards with another limited big.

Also, you just never know when Murray and/or Jokic get fed up and want out. Neither seems like the type but plenty of guys who asked out didn’t seem like it either until they did. I would strike while the iron is red hot and put a championship defense on the floor for the next year, and then decide what to do what Gordon after next year.
"That trade won't work, so let's throw in guys so that the trade works even though it doesn't"

You can't trade players that have a team option until they pick it up, if they pick it up.

He's in year 2. His defense improved from year 1, it'll likely continue. Very, very few players are good defenders with so little experience, in particular when you're playing in a system that puts two on the ball.

He looked fine until the back-tweak initially.

After 2014 I'm pretty sure someone took Pop like 10th or 12th, was probably highest ever a coach has been valued by TZ. That was the peak of people thinking Pop was a genius.

Got 3 all stars—Curry, bam and Conley—rest of the squad is garbage but I’ll take it.

Philly came out totally flat

In my defense, I was swinging for the fences that Bard was actually the next pop and didn't like the upside of many other picks in that area.

Now if I had simply just taken a warm body, I probably win this draft easily because the rest of my team is sick, but those are the breaks.

If the Nuggets’ options are pay him the rookie max or trade him for OG and FVV I prefer the latter as a Nuggets fan by far. I don’t see his defense ever becoming passable against elite guards in space, the guards he will see in the Playoffs.

Murray/FVV/OG/Gordon/Jokic is a championship level starting 5

Morris off the bench is a very solid 3rd guard, but the Nuggets need upgrades at back-up wing and big.

The Nuggets probably were not winning this series even at full strength, Murray would have pushed it to 6 or 7, but he isn’t making up a -16 PD.
The thing is MP j is a 4/5 and not a guard

I raised the point about a week ago on here that to get to the next level the Nuggs may need to deal MPJ. Basically was told he's 21 55/45 guy, you can't do that.

Think it probably depends what you can get but his main ability is to hit tough shots and a Jokic/Murray team needs to get better defensively, not offensively.

Not sure what his trade value is though.
I would trade Murray way before I trade MPJ
