Maybe the best game of Frank's career? Best individual defensive performance by a Knick the entire season, that's for sure. Please send Elf to the moon.

So a 3-way tie makes the order ATL, MIA, NY?

No need to hit up Elon.

All we need to do is PUT THAT ELF ON A SHELF!

More FRANK is what we need! Defensive speed! Is what we need! 3's galore!

Off foul on Horton-Tucker when Rose tried to steal the ball. Perhaps worst call ever?

AD on the double flop gets the call after waiting out the official to blow the whistle.

Yeah that late whistle was totally bogus. I thought someone had called a timeout because that much time had gone by!

"Designed" perhaps wasn't the right word. I obviously don't think the Jazz constructed their roster with the Warriors or Curry specifically in mind.

But I think that physical perimeter defenders + shot blocker is the best combination to slow Curry.

Earlier in his career, I would have said that super quick on ball defenders gave Curry the most trouble. But he's so effective moving without the ball against those types of defenders now that they don't seem to bother him as much.

Nothing makes sense anyway so might as well have fun with it.
Fun side note since the Pacers suck ass, but they're 3-1 in the "Goga tries to fight a coach" era and since returning from injury, Sabonis is averaging 24.6/15/11 on 70/47/75 splits through 7 games. Fun times.

In fact I give the Lakers the best chance of the bunch to slow him down with a combination of Caruso/LeBron/Lakers getting more leeway bullying him. He's gotten even more clever off the ball and Draymond has gotten even more visceral seeking out ways to get him the ball*. I also think it's important to remember the Jazz will be reintegrating Mitchell into the rotation. That's not a small deal.
In agreement with this statement. I mean anybody thinking otherwise did they actually watch what Jamal Murray did to the Jazz last year in the bubble playoffs? Great offense beats great defense regardless in modern day sports.

I actually think this is the opposite of what works against Curry, in particular the last part. A shot-blocker almost always plays drop, which concedes pull-up threes. Rudy doesn't really know how to play any other way, and if they meet up he'll be going against the best pull-up shooter that's ever lived on planet earth. He's orders of magnitudes better than Jamal Murray at this, and as cneuy3 stated JM went nuclear against the Jazz ftmp.

When the Jazz are on offense their worst matchup is a team that switches everything. They have fairly rudimentary 1on1 creators, and rely on movement to force rotations and subsequent open shots. If you switch everything that becomes much harder.

Really long, detailed article from Matt Moore on why Jokic is the clear MVP. Lots of clips and stats if that's what you're into.

Also this article takes the L2M data and explains that Joker has been getting the short end of bad calls for years, and it's worse now.

Zach Lowe said he would have taken Denver out of the west if Murray was healthy. Not behind a paywall either!

He also flirted with Jimmy for first team all nba

Does anyone know how they tally all-NBA votes across two positions.
Like if anthony davis gets 20 points at center and 30 points at forward, how do they count? 50 p
If theyre not added together, it seems like anyone who is available at two positions gets screwed by the vots splitting

KNAX
Thibs Knack3d. Don't give Frank a second in OT --> lose.

Thibs is caught in the worst place, tbh, wrt Elf, but I have zero belief he can even imagine grasping the nettle.

Otoh, the injury reports are that as well as IQ and Burks, Rose and Bullock are doubtful for tomorrow night. So that's probably back to 30 minutes for the Payton - assuming the Argie assassin still isn't avaiable.

Moral of the story is that if you have significant risk of injury you better damn lock up that delicious delicious cheddar.
