Yeah, this is the real debate. Myles is the better defender and one of the best shooting big men in the league (37% on 4apg), but other than rim protecting his defense is weak.

Domas has elite post work and passing, but can't really defend laterally enough to anchor the middle.

Domas+Shooters has produced a better net rating than Myles+Shooters or Turbonis so far, but it's going to be hard to move wither one.

Not seeing how Lonzo is ever going to be an AllStar level player. Current Rubio is his ceiling, just not athletic enough to penetrate consistently and weak finishing when he does. If he were like 3 inches taller, maybe.

I just don’t think he’s good enough at all the other stuff, specifically driving and penetrating. His passing is top end elite, but that doesn’t get unlocked if you can’t get by people. He’s like a Rondo who can’t get to the hole.

He got completely bodied by White and Murray today, two guys who are probably going to top out at pretty good but not quite all star level. A lot of that is just him not being quick enough or strong enough to do anything with them. Like the Spurs guards aren’t going to get 20+ a night consistently, but they at least have the potential to get to 25-30 when they’re on and have a good night, because they can drive and create shots. For Lonzo that’s only ever happening if he hits 6 threes.

So White and Murray can be effective shooting league average from 3, while Lonzo would have to be like a 40 percent volume guy to be decent.

Really need the Blazers to lose to the Sixers minus Embiid the way they lost to the Clips minus Kiwi, Beverly, and George. Cuz Dallas is gonna sit KP and Luka against them and then they play the lol Nets.

The Spurs have played 2 fewer games, so if they finish the same # of games below .500, then that means they're "missing" a 1-1, which would bring the win % up, so it seems like Spurs would lose tiebreak to either Suns or Grizz. So, they need to win both to have a shot

If Spurs finish 1-1 and -7, then they'd need Portland to go 0-2 and Suns to go 1-2 or worse

The Grizz hold the tiebreaker over the Suns. The Suns need to go 8-0 while the Grizz go 1-7 to pass them. The Suns would be ahead of Portland if Portland lost 1 more game but everyone likes not playing their best players against the T-blazers.

Re, Boston/Memphis on Tuesday, Stevens plans on using his regular rotation.

Boston played their best game of the season on Friday v. Toronto.

They played flat today - low defensive intensity. They did roll out a zone press for a handful of possessions - likely something they want available in playoff situations.

Stevens is tinkering with the rotation at the 5. Robert Williams may be emerging as Theis's primary backup. Grant Williams was DNP-CD after getting garbage time only run on Friday. Kanter got 8 minutes after DNP-CD against Toronto.

Brown playing the best ball of his career. Hayward demonstrating increased bounce, but still nowhere near his pre-injury explosivity. Smart is Smart.

I blame the rigidity of the system. I think all playoffs should have a “select your opponent” feature where the 1 seed chooses the 5-8 that they want to play then the 2 seed chooses etc. would be fairer and also great television
