Mavs did Egalite yesterday. I think they are going to do Liberte and Fraternite the next two games. After that they bring out the guillotine.

YOLOdipo!!!

He's gonna be sick playing alongside that cheater Giannis in Miami. We all thought Steph was the hyper-mega-elite role player? Well wait to you see YOLOdipo!

Yeah for real.

I was actively wondering if he was punishing Kuzma for stealing his Oreos or something.

The Suns had three SFs and chose Kelly Oubre and Mikal Bridges over TJ Warren after playing Warren out-of-position as a smallball four. At the same time, they traded down from 6 to 11 to pick up Dario Saric.

So, there are three components to this trade.
  • Choosing Oubre and Bridges over Warren as a small forward
  • Choosing Saric over Warren as a power forward and generally deciding that he is a bad fit next to Ayton and paid too much to be a backup
  • Deciding that they couldn't get a better deal for Warren...the Pacers jumped on the deal because they were afraid the Suns would realize how dumb they were being

They also turned around and used some of the cap space that they created to absorb the contract of Aron Baynes so that they could use the 24th pick on Ty Jerome while giving up the Bucks' 2020 pick. And then they signed Ricky Rubio.

I think the idea to move on from Warren isn't bad, but the Suns had tunnel vision and decided that they had to do it right away, no matter the cost. Plus, Warren's fit next to Ayton was a problem because they selected Ayton when they could have had Doncic.

So, while the basic impulse of wanting to trade Warren was probably the right one, overall lol Suns.

I'm watching this Jazz game and man, the Jazz suck. They needed a massive comeback to beat the Pelicans ffs.

It is kinda funny watching Donovan Mitchell throw multiple passes that just bounce off of Rudy Gobert as if he threw the ball of the side of a garage. Check out Mitchell's turnovers on the net video highlights to see. It's clear Donovan is trying to pass to Gobert to smooth over their relationship, which is a great sign for the Jazz. It's just that that makes for bad basketball because Gobert can't catch.

It's not unusual for a team to go small with their closing lineup, so Javale McGee starting but not finishing is to be expected. Rajon Rondo is injured and Avery Bradley opted out of the bubble, but I don't think that matters.

The only true constants are LeBron and Davis. I think they like the synergy between LeBron and Caruso, but I think they are committed to being flexible based on matchups, so they will have some combination of Kuzma, KCP, and Green in two of the three spots and maybe occasionally all three, with some of their other players also in the mix.

I thought I read each team has their own practice court? Do they also play games on their own home court or do they only use a couple courts for games?

Seems a really strange time to claim he's out of position at the 4 lol, he just scored 53 points there

Everything is breaking perfectly for the Spurs so far if they win this game. Too bad 5 of their last 6 games are against playoff teams and the other is against the Pelicans.

I'm fine with this, I've always like'd Kelly's game. Way back when we had the 2015 offseason thread I actually pontificated that this guy from Serbia could be like a KO that plays 20 minutes a night

I always thought Kidcolin and other C's people were unfairly harsh on him.

God damn just looked at the box score and the celtics filled it up. I'm cherry picking here but box scores I've looked at or the few games I've watched it seems teams started shooting pretty well after the first night. Less pressure with no fans could make the difference?

I had heard reports that the players found it easier to shoot with no fans, but not so much because of the pressure but the visual distraction/movement behind the basket. Might mean a slight advantage to the more jumpshoot-y teams?
