Damn gotta wait til Sunday night for Game 2!

I expect a big game from KAWHI as they try and focus in on Pascal and as Shaq says "the others".

smh.

This series was always going to be closer than they thought, and Raptors won a game at home. They did what they had to.
Yep, and I really enjoy watching the post game pressers in the playoffs just to see how ridiculous the media can get with this stuff. Kerr had a sweet response when asked if it was rust from nine days off which had caused their subpar performance in game 1. He said it didn't matter and that if they had won the game the media would had spun it that it was because they were "well rested." That is sort of how they work.

Kudos to Kerr for that statement.

**** the Media.

Guess Durant can kind of fix his "legacy" if the Warriors go down 2-0 or even better 3-0 (obviously) and lead a comeback.

Ok, a question for you guys.

Am I crazy for thinking that whatever the odds are for Kawhi to sign with Toronto, the chances actually are better if the Raptors lose than if they win??

I mean if they lose there is the "unfinished business" angle. If they win then he has the " we accomplished what you brought me here to help you do, now I have to think about what is best for me..my family, etc..."

Does that make sense?

Yes it does.
Nobody knows the answer though.

I don't think it influences much, tbh : Toronto's window is this year and the next (after which Lowry, Ibaka and Gasols' contracts come off the books), which clearly justifies yesterday's Truehoop rumour of him wanting to sign short term with the Raps.

I don't think Kawhi even knows the answer right now.

I think he's going to sign long-term for that sweet guaranteed money no matter what. I'd have to guess either LA team at this point has the most equity at this point.

I think hed be marginally more likely to return to a team he led to a title. I think the unfinished business narrative is bogus

Doubt it matters. He didn't talk for a year during the trade, he doesn't feel the need to explain himself regardless.

What would the series line be at 3-0 Raptors, if we also knew KD was back for game 4?

Hot Take - If I'm an NBA team I wouldn't offer KL the max.

Feel like his body is at best 50/50 to fail him.

His legacy will be fine as long as GS doesn't win without him.

I don't get the legacy thing.

I mean what changed from 3 years ago? Have people actually changed their minds about this Warrior team? We were awesome before KD got there. If KD hadn't of come, we still would have started the next season as the favorites. So why are people shocked this year that we might win one without him? Nothings changed at all.

how does it change anything about what happened in the last 3 years whether we win it or not, with or without KD?

KD came to a loaded team that is good with or without him.

And on a side note the Cavs team from 2 years back and last years Rockets are better than this Raptors team, so if you do think it matters, you could argue we wouldn't have beaten those two teams anyway even if we do beat Toronto.

The only thing that really matters is that if we win it this year without KD I think it basically ends the argument about the GOAT team. Bulls fans can't argue they're chipping without MJ and Kukoc. Or mid 80s Lakers team without Magic and whoever you got as they're 5th/6th best player.

And obviously Steph's GOAT ranking climbs.

Hopefully Bogut gets a run in Game 2. Around the 10-15 minutes. Not sure why he didn't play Game 1.

I think he is a good match up for Raptors.

He can bang with Gasol and Pascal in the paint better than any Warrior. And he's not going to be worse than Cousins defending the perimeter.

Plus there's the screen setting. He's the best screen setter of anyone on the Warriors.
