bucks +2350 on dimes.
pretty decent value. i think they could surprise people and be the 2 seed

getting +112 on bucks winning that division is candy too imo

Also I'm sold on Siakim and OG (it oits) long-term. OG is only a year 2 guy but he was a sophmore draftee that accepts his role.

The other role players are between good and great, and I wouldn't be shocked to see a bounce-back year from Powell as well.

and underrating how mediocre DDR is

can't shoot, can't D, biggest playoff choker there is (mostly because his ability to elevate his game is non-existent due to his limitations, he basically maxes out in the regular season and can't improve when everyone else starts going hard in the playoffs)

but then he gets traded and all of a sudden he's Kobe Bryant or something 'round here wtf

I would be surprised with Powell, he's only a decent defender and his offense has been figured out by opponents. Once he starts to drive, just protect the rim since he can't pass (puts his head down) and isn't great at pulling up off the dribble.

the jazz are good, but still a very good/great player away from contention unless mitchell makes a massive jump. rockets remain the dubs' biggest threat in the west. maybe the thunder/lakers depending on how they develop during the season

Luka Doncic is playing p.f for the Mavs in preseason, dude is bigger than advertised and i think he will thrive at that position.

I don't understand the logic of the Celtics being overrated but the Raps also having a long way to go. I think all of the "Kawhi is obv a huge upgrade" sentiments are still massively underrating how good Kawhi is when healthy.

I agree with lol regular season. I think the Raps will legitimately be the best team in the regular season (best record and best point differential) but they're obv not the favorites in the playoffs. They should probably be #4 right now behind the Warriors, Rockets and Celtics. I'd put them as #2 if I knew we were getting 16-17 Kawhi but that's probably less likely than not. If it happens, why don't we like them in the playoffs exactly? Their depth isn't as valuable as in the regular season, but the three main reasons they didn't do well in the playoffs were coaching, not having a guy like Kawhi, and losing to Lebron over and over.

I think Raps +400 to win the east is ridiculous value considering the 76ers are +400 and the Celtics are -105. If the reason you don't believe in the Raptors is because you don't think Kawhi will be peak Kawhi, I understand that. But if you don't think they have an insanely high ceiling, I respectfully disagree.
To be clear, I think Raptors are probably faves to win the East. I just think they were actually just straight up not good last year, as opposed to some "LeBron just owns them" thing, and so even with the huge potential upgrade of Kawhi they're not miles ahead of say, Philly or even Bucks. Additionally, I think Boston are overrated because I think both the "ins" are being overrated, Hayward could be massively worse and Kyrie is a huge injury worry. Also think their youngs overperformed and may not continue on an upward trajectory immediately (though that's just hunch rather than based on anything). So I dont think they're much better than last year either. I just think it's all pretty open and anyone could win. If LeBron stayed they'd be clear faves again.

Noah finally waived.

73M for 46 games. Over 1.5M per game. Or $300k per point.

Worst contract of all time?

It was the beginning of an Exit Strategy by PHIL to get out of his own contract and still get paid the full amount.

OKC could go ~6 games over or under their win total and it wouldn’t surprise me either way. Pat pat looks much better this year and fully healthy, and their big rotation (Adams, Noel, Grant, Pat) is really nice. They could be terrible at the 2 again, with Roberson a question to even play this year, Abrines / Ferguson below average to bad, and Schroder a questionable fit playing off the ball with Russ and PG.

They certainly got better talent wise, and the additions of Schroder and Noel are no brainers. I just can’t figure out the lineups they play in crunch time. I mean, even if Roberson was healthy (and they were elite on D last year when he was) he’s still an abomination offensively and at the FT line. At some point they have to move on from relying on him. He will probably never get any better on that side of the ball.

With GSW / Beta KD ruining any semblance of competitive balance in the league, I’m just going to enjoy another year of prime Russ playing like his life depends on it night in and out.
