Long term, investing that much in Bledsoe is probably disastrous. Im also not sure theyre capable of offering enough to keep Lopez. Mirotic is literal cancer. Middleton is an 82 game player. I dont know how things get better for them.
However, Brogdon is awesome but paying him is going to be onerous. . Theyd be in such a great spot if they didnt have bledsoe inked to that deal.
Yet if Giannis really becomes a shooter, he’s a perennial MVP. That’s only worth so much though. You dont have to leave Wisconsin to find another team that had the best player in the sport and didnt fill in the pieces around him. It’s not great

Gasol has dominated the Warriors in the past, Ibaka is ideal vs them on defense, Kawhi was worth 30 points a game vs them a few years ago... (Siakam and Green are pretty good too vs them.... even OG might be back)

Also, Kawhi is >>>> 75% to stay, probably >90% now.
i'll take 5/1 he leaves. how much?

Klay would be fine as a number 1 option. He wouldn't be quite as efficient as he is now, but would still be better than most.

He's not leading a team to a Championship obviously. No one should be thinking he's a Top 5 or 6 guy (which you need to chip).

But I think it's a fallacy he wouldn't be any good.

Remember in each of his first 3 seasons he shot better than 40% from 3. And that was under Mark Jackson's offense. He also played most of his rookie season without Steph (that was his ankle injury year).

I could see him being a 25-28 point scorer as the main man. He's as fit as anyone on the basketball court and plays both ends.

If Durant ends up leaving I'd be pretty surprised if Klay doesn't get up to 24-25 points per game.

On that note, I don't think Klay should have made an All NBA team. He has a pretty ordinary start to the season. If it had been based on everything since 1st of Jan he should have made it (23ppg @ TS% of 61%), but it didn't make up for his start to the year.

even parts of me felt discouraged after game 2, but then I remembered I was going to game 3 which I thought they would win and would be right back in the series as a result

He's a very good scorer whose skillset is a perfect fit to be on a team with 2 even better scorers, but if he was the best player on a team that team would win 25 games.
Yeah I haven't understood this from the beginning. I think it's more of a sensationalism/click-baity type story. "ZOMG! NBA star gets ALL-NBA snub, misses out in $30M!!!!!" VORP isn't the end all but I think it's a decent objective metric for these kind of conversations/awards. Klay was 51st amongst guards. None of the 6 that made a team were out of the top 7. The biggest snub by far to me was KAT. Dude was 5th overall in the league in VORP and 3rd amongst centers. Vucevic has a case as well. He was 9th and 4th. Center was kind of loaded though because there were only 3 spots. But yeah, lol at Klay getting snubbed.

It wasnt a snub but it is notable because the financial implications. Thats all i think. Klay is a very good player but he didnt deserve an all nba nod

Exactly. But even on that note, how often is he going to get offered the supermax? I mean I guess someone might but no way he's a super max player.

By position is dumb. Giving meeja peeps an influence on the league in this way is criminal. Burn the Silver Lord.

Who does the massive gap inbetween finals games favor?

I guess GS cause it gives KD more time to be ready and he'll miss less games.
