Seems like you could save money by giving Brent Barry more and higher prestige games and improve viewer experience.
My guess is as long as the ratings are good and no one besides people like us are complaining then it will continue to stay like that.

I think coaches (besides Jackson/VanGundy because of their bad comedy shtick) make much better color guys than former players for obvious reasons. Just have way more of a feel for the game and what teams need to try to do to be competitive in the game but someone.

It's just gotten bad but I doubt they fix it.

When LeBron did it, it really shook up fans notions of how teams were built, you wanna beat your rivals/peers, etc

When KD did it, it just didn't have that earth shattering feel. It just felt like a guy who was choosing the situation that gave himself the best chance to win.
LeBron dropped mouths, KD elicited eye rolls.

playing with dirk is obv helpful from a team offensive standpoint, but it wasn't really that great of a setup for nash to excel individually. he wasn't really being put in a position to be much of a playmaker with the mavs, which does sort of speak to his limitations though. he'd have been more valuable to the mavs as a scorer than a playmaker. think nash has said that he should have shot a lot more

sure, but it's hard to find players to do this (wings or otherwise). it's why chuckers get overvalued

Lebron and Paul George should go to Boston and they should get rid of Kyrie and the GH

I really don't want to get into this again but Lebron didn't build no mother ****ing super team. They lost twice in 4 years.

cleveland v2.0 went to the finals every year and is certainly not a super team.

lebron is just a super player.

There was a good Pacers team for like 1 or 2 years and a good (but aging) Boston team.

I don't know what you want? Lebron would take Boston's big 3 to seven game series with just himself on Cleveland and a bunch of scrubs.

The Heat would have probably gone to four finals even if it was only Lebron/Wade or Lebron/Bosh

Lebron has been to 9 NBA finals.

He is the GOAT and the East has been ridiculously horrible since he was drafted.

And yet the heat before lebron, detriot and Boston won titles and the magic had a few good years. Chicago was ruined by rose getting hurt and Indiana slowed down by pg getting hurt and Danny granger perpetually getting hurt. Also hasn’t helped that Toronto despite their nice record can’t beat lebron.

I’m not saying the east was great this year, it wasn’t, but between the lebron led teams, the Boston big 4 and detriot/heat it hasn’t been as bare as you’re making it out to be. Yes when the nets and sixers were making the finals it sucked, but if lebron wasn’t around the stories would be different.

Maybe not this year but the 2016 version is absolutely a super team, massive LOLs at saying otherwise.

2017 had a fantastic offense that would be good enough to title in most years

Cavs D went from below average year 1 to above average year 2 to below average in year 3 to 2nd worst in the league year 4. Not sure what they did right in year 2 and so poorly the rest of the years. I guess their role players have gotten worse on D. They've been consistently the 3rd best O in the league over this period of time.

Heat D conversely was always above average or better (top 5 in a few years) while between 2-8 on O the entire time.

A full offseason of Blatt's system.

It's about more than just LolRegularSeason performance. Toronto had an insane regular season, but they could have won 65 games and they still would never be a 'super team'. Lebron + Kyrie + Love + some non completely awful roleplayers is clearly a super team no matter how they end up going in the regular season, I should have really said 15-17 Cavs.

You don't ever blame LeBron James for anything.

His defense last season was pathetic.

He is one of the main reasons for their defensive problems. And his teammates not seeing him give effort at that end is problematic in getting them to work hard.

Yes, I know his offense requirement was at an all time high, and he's the biggest reason why their O is always among the best in the league.

But ffs, sometimes you have the blinkers and it's hilarious.

It's never LeBron's fault!!!

Re: NBA Season Thread 2017-18

So lebron is the sole reason they went from 10th to 29th in 2 seasons? I definitely never said lebron isn’t at fault, he, love probably are. Lebron still has the best drat on the team but per 82 games, his opponents production has gone from 10 3 years ago to 17 this year, it was 13 last year. Love jumped to 16 to 22 this year. Nance is at 25. I get it bro. It’s laziness plus new role players plus scheme.

I’ve clearly said at times it is his fault. The spectacle when coming to Miami was his fault. 2011 mavs play was his fault. Some of the moves he’s forced are his fault. Likely getting lue is his fault. Him taking it easy on d, is his fault. Again, I think you clearly missed when I’ve been critical of his play. Him breaking or hurt his hand and showcasing it, is his fault. You got me, I never said it was never his fault.
