.. and, setting Simmons aside, he's been the most productive .. without discussing effectiveness. However [stolen stats follow]

Nevertheless, I still believe Lauri should have been taken (without trading picks) by the 76ers - though, ofc, we can't tell what taking Fultz was actually worth until he plays ~100 games.

LeBron is not stupid, he'll come to the Knicks in the offseason so they can keep all the picks

Noah will just "retire" for a $50M offshore crypto account

If you sent Lonzo to the LA D-FendersSouth Bay Lakers for the rest of the season, he wouldn't lead them to a DG-League title

Quote:
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was asked what helped to bring about LaMarcus Aldridge's resurgence: "When he said, ‘I want to be traded.' It's as simple as that. I said, ‘Woah, nobody's ever said that to me before.' It's my 20-whatever year, and nobody's ever said that like, ‘I'm not enjoying this. I'm not confident. I'm not sure you want me here. I want to be traded.'" Popovich was asked if that conversation took place after the season. "Yes, yes. I thought that's already been public? So, we had some dinners and meetings and laughed. I was very candid with him. I told him, ‘I'd be happy to trade you. You get me a talent like Kevin Durant, and I'll drive you to the airport. I'll pack your bags. And I will drive you there, get you on the plane, and get you seated.' He laughed you know, that kind of thing. I said, ‘But short of that, I'm your best buddy because you're here for another year, and you ain't going nowhere. Because we're not gonna get for you talent-wise what we would want. So, let's figure this thing out.' And we did. That's what we came to. As discussions went on, it became apparent to me that it really was me. He's been playing in the league for nine years. I'm not going to turn him into some other player. I could do some things defensively or rebounding-wise. But on offense, I was going to move him everywhere. That was just silly on my part. Total overcoaching. So, we took care of it, and he's been fantastic."

Pop GOAT

Is Lebron bad because he tries to give IT the ball or is IT stealing the game out of LBJ hands ?

Delon Wright is a fantastic defender and was matched up vs IT almost the whole game, asking a 5'7 rusty player to do things well vs a 6'5 quick PG and things won't end well. If Delon could ever learn to shoot well...

Staps is the best rim protector itl so far. But he's still playing in a franchise who has half their salary locked on 4 Centers while Oquinn should be the only one with a contract

New York isn't playing for now, or at least shouldn't be. They are one of the teams I'd like to see go after Mudiay and accumulate lottery balls... ofc they never will though.

lol mudiay should be out of the league

if your argument is he'll help teams lose then you could probably go play for the knicks and be more help than mudiay would

No better way to get to the bottom while trying to convince fans you aren't than getting one of the worst players ITL who was a high draft pick imo.

It's TZ, that's what we do.

I think he looks slower, but this is also a little earlier than I thought he'd be back.

cleveland is not an ideal situation for IT since they have at least one other ball-dominant player on the court (lebron, wade) just about always.

IT is a good shooter but using him that way (on a team that already has tons of shooters and whose main problem is defense) is going to be a waste always.

the only reason you take the trade off for his horrible D is that he can carry a 30+ USG on high efficiency - Cleveland already has elite offense.

Don't worry d00d, Knicks are working on getting Trey Burke who's also nuclear in term of dragging his team down when on the floor

it's not an optimal situation for thomas, but the cavs will be better w/him than w/o if he is remotely healthy. if he is hobbling along ofc they will be worse, but their pg situation is total garbage and wade is not an answer there

2 names are linked with Jazz lately Mirotic and Fournier. I like both players, still think Mirotic is talented and could blossom in the right team with the right coach (I said he was a lock all star when he was still in Europe). I also think Fournier is a player that would improve a lot playing with a real coach.

Fournier's defense is slightly below average, but he's smart and willing and if he has the opportunity to let the opponent drive into Rudy, he'll be able to defend.

Mirotic D more concerning though, but **** it GOATBERT is there

Mitchell/Fournier/Ingles/Mirotic/Gobert lineup seems so great. Rudy surrounded by 4 good 3 points shooters,

Wonder if Jazz could workout a deal sending Bradley/Exum/Hood/Favors/Rubio maybe Burks and a pick except 2018 st rounder to Magic and Bulls for those 2 players.

Quin is an offensive coach, he'll be able to create some fire once he get a team more talented on that end

Are you willing to be the All Star captain and deal with the responsibility of choosing the teams?

Curry: I'll do it.

Durant: I don't want to do it.

Alpha - Beta

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/k...tain-warriors/

Instead of a straight Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference matchup, the players selected for the game from each conference will be picked playground style by two captains. The player from each conference with the highest number of votes will get to be the captain. Or, for some players, have to be the captain.

Kevin Durant, for example, said recently that he would prefer not to have to deal with being captain. Via The Athletic:

"I don't want to do it," Durant told The Athletic. "I'd rather somebody else do it. It's cool to be an All-Star, but all the extra stuff ... I just want to go play in the game. (The new format)'s cool, a different way, a creative way that's good for the fans. But me, I'll let somebody else pick the teams."

Durant's teammate Steph Curry, however, would have no problem making the picks.

"Why not?" Curry said of taking on captaincy. "I'll be the first to usher in the new system. I used to go to the playground all the time, and you wanted to be the guy picking teams. That meant you were something on the court back in the day. It'll be a cool vibe to see how it all shakes out and how unique you can make the lineups."

This, really, is not surprising in the least. Well, OK, maybe it's a little surprising that Durant just came right out and said so pointedly that he wants no part of it, but the fact that he doesn't want to deal with the drama of making the picks is extremely Durant. And for Curry, who has always seemed more relaxed and confident than KD, it's very much like him to eagerly accept that kind of responsibility.
