rockets on the other hand have legit potential. tucker is a great addition, they got someone to throw at KD, curry is going to have to work on defense vs them and they have enough depth that they can throw elite offense/defense pretty flexibly based on matchups and needs. Their path to beating the warriors is containing their offense to some extend which they couldn't have done last year and then shoot lights out on 3's.
Watched raps all last year and +million at adding Tucker was very sad to see him go. Such a good pick-up. He had some major WIM on D and he's a great addition for a team already stacked on O. Houston I think will be the biggest threat this year to GSW.

cavs already have perkins on the team as a coach. so, I suppose that shields them from actually putting him on the court.

but ya, drape and dwaids are just awful and get way too many minutes. actually kinda like how green fits tho.

Absolutely this. More people will come to this thread meaning ultimately more discussion. It's not hard to skip a few pages if you don't want to read gametime stuff.

@kc - yea the travel was super tilting. It's even more tilting that no one in any capacity afaik has pointed it out. Guess lebratard is never getting called for that in such a situation anyways. He'd cry about it for weeks.

yeah actually it is kinda hard to skip through the game stuff. also pretty sure one thread = more discussion is fake news. it becomes effectively impossible to post about non-game topics during games. don't see what the upside of that is

edit: but really that's secondary to me not wanting to have to figure out when game day posting ends after the fact

+1 to separate threads.

The only advantage for a megathread is that it will have less discussion on the Nuggets since it will get interrupted with gameday every now and then.

I guess a second advantage would be when a player or team has an awesome game there will be discussion of that player/team for a while in the megathread the next day instead of 2 comments in the gameday thread and then it being ignored, however that is a small price to pay for not having to sift through 5 pages of lols and whoas/ discussion not being able to take place.

The East is now so bad that the Cavs might actually make the playoffs

I don't really care either way, but any content of note from a gameday thread could obv be xposted to TZ for further discussion.

Yeah I mean come on, Kawhi does this like ten times a game. Pretty sure Jokic and IT2 carry on 90% of their possessions.

I say give megathread a shot for a couple weeks.

Yea Kawhi feet shuffling is real bad. Traveling != Carrying tho. Nobody calls a carry. I think half the Rockets carry the ball Everytime they touch it.

Also can someone tell what the hell happened in the 4Q last night? I went to bed

Kiwi's travels are also tilting.

Carrying is much less tilting. It's a far smaller advantage than being able to jump, land, drag, change feet.

I was always pro game day but in today's era of less traffic I think it's worth trying.

At least in the case of IT2 and Jokic (as noted), they're doing it as compensation. For Jokic, it's due to gawky coordination. For Thomas, it's owed to him having the hands of a sub-5'9 man.

I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying, but it's not just a matter of being sloppy with those two. They're both trying to keep it controlled.

Gameday threads suck and stifle discussion

Counter-point: Not having a game day thread stifles discussion.

Put me down as +1 in favor of having a single gameday mega-thread. Mjw started one last year, and that seemed to work fine.

Since yesterday, I count 11 in favor of a gameday thread, 5 against.

I'll vote against because I like the underdog.

WittySN, after Dray got hurt it really looked like too much ISOball from
golden State, in particular Steph. One thing that's concerning is how much they got Steph to switch onto Harden and forced him to play defense, which could have led to him playing worse offensively.

Draymond is getting an MRI today, even if it's bad they are still going to sleepwalk to the 'ship.

Dray's injury looked like it could be pretty bad when you see it from the angle behind him. Knee gives out a good bit, like a quick tear

Not saying itll fix anything, as maybe SE just blows now, but we at least have evidence that a megathread can be great. There's no evidence of multiple threads ever being good. Game thread itself is total aids and the nba thread becomes seadoods blog.
