Simmons/Lowe podcast today. Bill says it's all about the western conference but about 10 min in he's already managed to talk about IT's season and the 1980s Celtics and how good they were. Save it Lowe!

He also talks about how Nurk was "misused" in Denver and how Jokic doesn't deserve all NBA because they are going to lose 48-50 games.

They have the #1 offense since benching Nurk
They would need to go 0-16 to lose 50

Saw some weird article about how Paul George was going to get 6/212 or something like that because he can get all NBA this year because Katie will not have played enough games to be eligible. I should have read the whole article.

Yea, I believe PG can get 35% of the salary cap instead of 30% on a potentially new contract with the pacers if he makes all-nba this year.

If i remember correctly they use GGFFC for those teams so he'd have to be ahead of one of lebron, kiwi, giannis, draymond, AD or jimmy. don't think he should make it

Yeah, which was to be expected imo. Basically a new 4 year deal gives him 50M more but for an extra year, that's a lot to leave on the table.

Looking at the Jazz cap sheet for next year, they look ****ed but I can't tell.

I guess I don't understand why so many people have such strong emotions about the MVP, an individual trophy in a team sports. If SAS/HOU/OKC/CLE severely underperform in the first round, how many fans of these teams are going to say "oh well, at least Leonard/Harden/Westbrook/LBJ won teh MVP"?

Legacies are overrated, IMO.

I am rooting for a team who won 50 games for 18 consecutive seasons. Will this sweeten the pill if the get beaten by, say, OKC/the Grizzlies in the first round or the Jazz in the second? Not really.
