He'll have to be more aggressive. I think that 2014-15 is probably his baseline level of play at this point. 2015-2016 regular season is a peak that he will never reach again. He ran a little hot last year, especially on long dribble 3s and impossible finishes in the paint. He probably has run a little cold on both fronts this year, unless we are seeing the very beginnings of age-related decline, which is possible.
For reasons that I can't explain, consistency sometimes seems like it's the first thing to go for elite athletes, and he definitely has been less consistent this year.
I also wonder if he is giving up some relatively high percentage transition shots (for him) in exchange for extremely high percentage shots for Durant. Curry has never played with a player who finishes as well on semi-breaks as Durant does.
If Curry magically starts performing at last year's level, we are going to be subjected to a lot of idiotic discussion about whether the Warriors were better off w/o Durant.
