Dude Knight is a negative asset. The Suns should have to give up something to dump him. Why the hell would we hamstring ourselves with that awful contract for the next 3 years?

Wizards may want a backup PG also wanna move Burke. Maybe knight and Burke get flipped with picks involved?

Looks like Celtics throwing a massive offer at indy fo Paul George. Get your popcorn

No not at all. Even if i got a 1st rounder and JV i wouldnt even consider it. I think that was a rumor a 1st and JV that was a discussed trade SVG wouldnt do. Obv it was a rumor been a ton of rumors with the pistons so who knows if it was true.

I dont know how to post the tweet but dude says
"Detroit has been aggressive in shopping Reggie Jackson, sources told @TheVertical. Looking for a first round pick, young player, expiring."

No crap they've been shopping him for a month starting with the Rubio rumors. Everybody knows it. We aint getting nothing of value for this turd. Ish Smiths better then this guy.

Getting the Nets pick for George and then building around pick/Turner/tank next year seems like a solid plan if you don' think George will re-sign, but I think the Pacers are a little more wary of rebuilding than most because of attendance issues. Not 1 of those teams that can just suck for 3 years, why they usually opt to reload over the years.

christophersen, where are you seeing all this? twitter? inside sources? (i use twitter very sparingly, and for different reasons)

Philadelphia is sending Nerlens Noel to Dallas for Justin Anderson and a first-round draft pick, league sources tell @TheVertical.

damn you Christopherson, I really thought I had that 1. I defer to you rest of the day.

Anderson and a 1st for Noel? damn, be interesting to see the protections on that but safe to call it a win for Phi.

Interested to see protections.

Bogut 100% to be moved or bought out imo

Bogut going to sixers in the deal!

And pick is 1-18 protected. I like it for Mavs

Seems dumb if George isn't re-signing. The ultimate yolo move but the Cavs are still significant favorites even with George on the Celtics

I think thats a good deal then for the mavs. Mavs can never land anyone in free agency so they can resign a young guy like Noel.

Wow is that their pick for this year? Protection makes all the difference in the world, but that seems like a good deal for Sixers.

EDIT: Just saw picks 1-18 protected??? Why would the Sixers do that?
02-23-2017 , 12:57 PM
Bogut likely being re-routed. Looks like Philly had this deal ready. Celtics first place im seeing. Maybe they'll grab okafor too?
02-23-2017 , 12:57 PM

usually when picks are protected like this, they roll into a looser protection the next year, and the next, until it expires or becomes a second round pick.

my guess is two years from now the protection might be 1-6 and PHI sees the most value in Noel via a cheap wing with upside (Anderson) and a lottery pick two years from now.

trust the process, etc.

i don't see much of an issue with this deal, Embiid/Saric is the future for this franchise and Holmes is proving to be a good value contract for the backup 4 slot. I don't see Noel as a good fit with this roster longterm even though the defensive metrics are elite. Better to have Embiid and the spacing that Saric provides, just imo.

I have a hunch that Celtics are more likely to land Butler. Here's why:

Ainge is mastermind and leaking for his own benefit. So he leaks he mentioned nets pick for PG13, but really Indiana already said they won't move him, but Bulls perhaps have said if they introduced that pick a deal could be done. So now Ainge is waiting by the phone for Bulls to come in and say "wait wait" and maybe give up a little value
