Clippers @ Jazz rd 1 easily the most compelling 1st rd series if it happens.

I honestly think they're the only team in the West with equity against the Warriors.

The Joe Johnson PF experience is working well lately
Alec Burks reminded everybody that he's one of the fastest player itl, and he's the perfect guard off the bench

The Hill, Ingles, Hayward, Johnson, Gobert line-up is really sexy against the warriors

I think they can get the 3rd spot, if that's the case I hope memphis climb 5th too. Those 2 teams can make the play-offs interesting it would be a shame if they face each otehr 1st round.

Rockets will not see semi-finals and we will lol D'antoni as he receives COTY over Quin, Brad, Fitzdale at the time Rockets gets eliminated
02-07-2017 , 02:23 PM
Yeah, lol him for taking an 8 seed quality team to a 3 seed quality team

Funny thing is, those other coaches are more likely to be eliminated early too

Did anyone see ABC is giving Jalen Rose a show?

Wow

I said this 3 months ago and got laughed at. Seadood told me there are like 5 teams out West with more equity vs GS than the Jazz.

Yeah they really have played well considering all of the lineup inconsistency minus Gobert.

Adam Mares has a great article on them for Vice Sports. Worth a read imo.

Last year they had

Howard 2200 min
Corey Brewer 1400 min
Ty Lawson 1200 min
Jason Terry 1200 min
Josh Smith 400 min

this year with 30 games to go they have

Eric Gordon 1500 mp
Randerson 1500 mp
Nene 800 mp
Corey Brewer 800 mp

Da real rocket man is Morey (and medical staff for their work on Gordon/Randerson/Nene), he turned a 8th seed into a 3rd seed, but his team still can't defend
02-07-2017 , 03:14 PM
Well he actually turned a 2 seed to an 8 seed then a 3 seed, but who's counting.

Morey should get a ton of credit for hitting on guys drafted after pick 20 with remarkable accuracy though.

Wow
Apparently Lebron was 2 for his last 31 at shots to tie/win in the last 5 seconds? 3 for last 32 after banking in a prayer.

Even prayers get answered.

been getting looks, just shooting erratically (from 3)

Blatche is averaging 22.3/10.6/4 with 3.2 stocks on 55.2% shooting including 37.9% 3pt. There has to be a team out there that needs scoring and skill from the perfect stretch 5 in the modern NBA.
02-07-2017 , 05:49 PM
when you translate those stats to the nba they still fall below the blatche line
02-07-2017 , 05:53 PM
Jazz are awesome, but they just have zero shot against GSW. The only teams that do imo are guys who have bouts of unsustainably good offense. We're forgetting that GSW has one of if not the best overall D ITL, and they match-up almost perfectly with the Yazz...

The Jazz style of play on offense plays right into the Warriors hands imo.

Did I say 5? I thought it was just Houston/SAS
02-07-2017 , 06:06 PM
I'm kind of digging the Jazz too, which is weird because I've had a mild dislike for the team for so long. I like this version though.

Three months ago I would have insisted LAC had a better shot at knocking out GS than the Jazz. Or maybe 2 months ago, whenever they were rolling.

have we covered Phil Jackson's classless tweet at Melo yet?

Bleacher's Ding almost rings the bell, but I learned you don't change the spot on a leopard with Michael Graham in my CBA daze.

Had to look up Michael Graham, wow. At first I thought Phil might have dementia, but it's pretty clear that he knows what he's doing, in which case he's just a pompus ass who knows he has zero motivation to make the company he works for better.
02-07-2017 , 07:11 PM
Jackson is so insanely stupid

or he hopes to goad Melo into leaving?

I've no idea whether that's likely or Melo would just say "lolu, I'll be here longer than you, kma"

it's been pretty obvious for some time now that he cares about his ego a lot more than he cares about anything else.

Didn't he already say he'd leave? Or maybe they want him to waive his no-trade clause to any team and send him to anyone that would take him.

I know a lot of that article is spot on, but I'm torn between feeling bad for Melo and the reality that he brought a lot of this on himself.
