Bench Rose
Lose a lot to get melo to waive his ntc

Trade Melo

If you want to lose a lot you have to play Rose so that's kinda of a dilemma

Sign Curry Paul Lowry or Hayward and they have an elite starting 5 with good pieces.

Melo for Blake could be possible too

Curry is never coming to NY. With the new CBA Paul will never come either. Lowry seems very unlikely (wants to stay in Toronto, and only the Raps can offer him the 5th year right?)

Hayward I suppose is possible but I don't think that makes them elite.

Seems like NY's best chance is to race to the bottom of the standings and land one of the young stud PGs. I don't see Melo going anywhere given his contract stipulations, and other than Noah their books look ok. I don't think there is a quick fix for them, but with Staps and hopefully a stud PG their long-term future could be good.

I wouldn't trust Dolan/Phil to do the right thing though.

By the way the baseline camera shot of Melo after TEEJ MCC hit the buzzer beater was great stuff.
01-12-2017 , 02:08 PM
The PG prospects do seem to be pretty fantastic, I especially like the NC State guy.

Ball might stay to establish the BALL BROS at UCLA, their family is ridiculous

So who's excited for the Global Games Jokic vs. Turner duel in 2 hours?
01-12-2017 , 02:19 PM
I'm just mad about golf and don't get how action closed at noon when it's in Hawaii. Spieth is a lock

If I'm the knacks I unload c-lee for the best pick I'm offered or young player.

Doubt anybody will give asset for rose or Noah or jennings at this point.

Maybe somebody like O'Quinn could land some pick too but yeah they need to enter the tank. Maybe tell Melo that's the plan and he will agree to waive his NTC for certain teams

Lots of fun combos you can create. Seems funny tho you can't actually just recreate the Cavs starting 5 but maybe that was done on purpose.

I'd go..

C - Gobert - $2
PF - Love - $3
SF- Lebron - $7
SG - Conley - $2
PG - George Hill - $1
Giannis $3
Kiwi $5
George $4
Hill $1
Haywars $2

Giannis pg with 4 shooters and 4 secondary ball handlers, three elite defenders and two solid defenders.

Championship time

So Woya slaps are stuffing for Zaza?

EDIT: POR should be stuffing for CJ. Guy has scored 25+ for 7 straight games, including a couple 35s and a 43.

All-star teams aren't very hard to pick this year imo (if you're talking basketballwise and don't take into account Georgians hacking the system)

Lowry
Butler
Lebron
Giannis
Love

RWB
Harden
Kiwi
KD
Gasol

Apart from maybe someone over Love (and even then not sure who that would be), I don't see any close situations at all

edit : probably AD over Marc Gasol kinda flying under the radar this year because lol pelicans. or gobert

when is the last time the best east team would have been favored over the best west team (not necessarily all stars)

edit: as in assemble a team of players from each conference
01-12-2017 , 06:48 PM
LOL at Myles Turner > Jokic. Nikola made him his bitch all game.

1. Hire hinkie
2. Trade melo, noah gets dumped to a 3rd team as part of the deal

Boston would take melo right? If that fails, maybe chicago. Idk if he is even willing to leave NY though, the no-trade clause is horrific and was undeserved since he didn't take a discount

re NY: I don't think I have solutions differing at all really from everyone else's above. They need to get the best PG who can pass and shoot 3s they can afford/find/draft - probably should start by tanking the rest of this year; cut Noah & play Staps at 5 against most teams; fire Phil; relegate Rose to the 3rd string PG & come what may don't resign; outwait/wait-and-see with Melo (a really committed tanking would reduce his minutes, slowing his ascent of the all-time points list). Giving a contract to N'dour rather than Chasson Randle was a slight head-scratcher - not that N'Dour is obviously terrible, but Randle might give them a PG option if they aren't already tanking.

Think it's still true in 2011-12, Bulls went 50-16 best record in league, Rose missed a bunch but he hadn't gotten the bad injury yet, was still very good. East team falls off a cliff in 2012-13 with no Rose and Howard at Lakers.

Exceptionally classy move by the Spurs:
