The depth matters, especially since JR has a long timetable on his injury. Even if he only crushes the regular season, having the 1 seed instead of the 2 seed is definitely worth at least 1% extra equity if they played the Raps in the ECF. If they end up running away with the 1 seed they can rest Lebron more too which also matters. Protects them in event of JR/shump injury, better shooting on 2nd units etc. His efficiency is gonna skyrocket with Bron.

They are not favorites to title cmon

5% is just an outrageous claim.

Actual article on the front page of ESPN:

Is Giannis the best player in the East

It's an insider article but I can only assume that the link leads to a blank page that reads NO

Huge lol at 1%. It's like cinarocket has never heard of Robert horry, John paxson, kerr, Ray Allen.

Lebron is the greatest ever and having a catch and shoot 50% 3's is easily worth 15-20% equity. Play better basketball.

Also let's not forget the only reason GSW even have a title is because of 2 major injuries to the goat. Hype is not equal to reality. If anything variance has worked the worst for LBJ

Want is waaay off. LOL at 15-20%, you can't have odds above 100% bro.

I like this want guy. Dude seems to know.

Kay Farber Jordan McCrae and DeAndre Liggins are playing pretty decent minutes right now. None of them can shoot or are very good at all (Liggins defense and activity makes him ok), replacing the, with a guy who has the ability to be one of the 5 best shooters in the NBA is not a negligible deal.

Now, onto the postseason, even if you wanna argue that Korvers age/athleticism/defense will limit his minutes against the elites, he is still eating minutes that a) much worse players would get or b) their best players would get which both improves their team as a whole and will slightly reduce the tear on their stars.

Also I haven't even brought up that playing with LeBron could completely rejuvenate Korver.
01-06-2017 , 09:29 PM
Also for those worried about his defense, let's not forge Korvs is kinda huge.

give him some of daddy's ol "cough medicine" amirite

want wanting itt

And let's not forget the only reason gsw winning the exhibition regular season record was so important was because they beat a crippled lebron team. Golden state is a hype machine. Have you ever played against a 6'4 center? Imagine as you yourself at 5'9 playing actual basketball against someone who is 5'3. The 5'3 guy might need to resort to cheap play right? Obviously.
01-06-2017 , 09:58 PM
I don't know, the 5'3" guy is a different situation. I might let him get away with cheap play because he is misfortune embodied. He is 5'3", men and (especially) women laugh at him and his determination to "play adult." One time he bought shoes and the person helping him was able to flash a 5 with one hand to indicate to the guy in the back what size to bring out. He was so traumatized that he claims a 5.5 now solely to prevent that experience.

15-20% equity!!!
01-06-2017 , 10:22 PM
Ok so probably you don't need to imagine.

Lebron + Kyrie + Klike + 3pointkorver= the greatest. Enjoy the softness though.
01-06-2017 , 10:24 PM
Korver will fit great with Lebron on offense. **** like his career playoff corner % has to be largely small sample size issues. Everyone underestimates the noise in 3 point shooting stats. Teams have prepped for him better in the playoffs, but with Kyrie and Lebron as opposed to Bazemore, Carroll and Teague the Cavs will be able to take advantage of that attention Korver brings off the ball better.

Not sure how it will work on D, but should be solid situational depth at worst.

One thing for the Korver haters is that his RPM is dog**** this year after always being a RPM star. The rest of his stats seem in line with last year so I'm skeptical that he's fallen off a cliff, but still something to look at.

would be great for the knicks

One big thing Korver does is once JR comes back that lets them get Lebron's minutes down, that alone is worth something.

But people who haven't watched the Hawks maybe didn't realize how hard they worked to get him shots, there's a big difference even in SportVu from an "open" shot you get because you ran full speed past two screens and an open shot because your defender collapsed on a drive and kick. Korver is going to ****ing crush in the super-low-usage shooter role, he's never been on a team that let him be the 4th option
01-07-2017 , 01:48 AM
Korver might gain 20 pounds though from not having to run 1 mile per shot attempt anymore

Even with the injuries they were one terrible foul call away from being up 3-1 in that series
