Why would the Suns do this? Both those guys suck. They should be able to get at least a little more for Bledsoe.

Korver trade is meh honestly. It sounded like Atlanta just wanted a 1st round pick and called up all contenders and Cavs were first to bite. I honestly don't think it's that great of a trade.

PS: Cavs want a backup PG? We got this guy named Delly...
Haha I never understood why Cavs didn't retain him, he's such a good fit with their bench units. I guess they didn't wanna go way into the luxary for a player of his caliber which is sort of understandable. Funny that they want a backup pg now though.

Korver trade not going to go well with the casual Atlanta fans, especially when on a 5 game win streak and now in 4th place. Hawks website acting like nothing has happened but the comments to this tweet are all about Korver

Hawks blowing it up, Nic Batum out ~2 weeks, time for the Bucks to climb the ranks!

Have Knicks today and Washington Sunday to wrap up what could be a great week potentially.

Yeah I actually floated that trade around on another forum, only I added taking Tyson's bad contract back and a 2017 first. Eric Bledsoe is quite good and his contract is pretty friendly, I'm quite sure if Phoenix made him available the market would be pretty hot.

I do think they should trade him though as he's going to be very expensive and old when Phoenix is in a position to be competitive, and all he's doing now is hurting their chances at having first crack at one of the fresh new PGs.

If I'm Denver I'm not even sure I'd do that trade at this point--Bledsoe is great but Denver just isn't in a position to contend for at least a couple years. It's a similar issue with getting Paul Millsap although I'm warmer on that because he'd theoretically cost much less.

This is actually pretty good long-term planning by the org though, I wouldn't expect most fans to be on board.

Wait, you floated Nurkic+Mudiay for Bledsoe+Chandler+2017 1st rounder? Or is Denver the team throwing in the first?
01-06-2017 , 01:41 PM
I'm all for trading bledsoe. Empty stats and terrible defense. Free ulis!

Suns future needs to be ulis, booker, warren, bender, chriss. Maybe Len.
01-06-2017 , 01:43 PM
Golden state should trade Livingston, zaza, filler for Tyson Chandler.
01-06-2017 , 01:45 PM
Geoff, Denver throwing in the first and taking back a meh contract in Tyson's. I think Bledsoe is pretty darned good.

I think with Denver's recent lol losses they should probably pivot and look to get rid of their vets for possibly a young up-and-comer rather than draft picks. My new THAKID trade I want to see is Gallo+Barton+Nurk+Jameer for Mahinmi+Porter+Flotsam, adding in whatever picks need to get the job done.

Washington downgrades at SF but not by a lot, plus they add major depth and get better at 3 positions. It allows Denver to semi-tank this year and use their cap-space for something good, taking on one of the worst contracts ITL.

Cliffs on Bender so far? Seems to suck quite hard even for a rookie

Gallo Nurkic Harris + 1st rounder for Blake

Was horrendous in summer league and early on. Been much better as of late.

Chriss has pretty much sucked.

Ulis has been pretty good anytime he's seen meaningful minutes.

hell ya korver makes the cavs a ton better. they got it this year. legit dynasty now.

I listed the 5 better than him as

Lebron
Shaq
Duncan
Garnett
Nowitzki

I wanted to add Chris Paul too when I thought about it later.
I dont think lebron really overlaps his era. I mean, kobe was better than lebron for his first few years in the league too.

I think Phoenix takes that. Tyson is pretty crippling and has no value for them going forward. I could be higher on top 10 Nurk than most just because Gorgui Dieng absolutely cannot slow him tho.

Well except that Bledsoe is under contract for 3 years and plays the position Denver needs to upgrade the most.

I was a huge Chriss fan but i had no idea he was so tiny. Lol college.

By the time Denver's in a position to compete, Bledsoe will be old and very expensive.
01-06-2017 , 02:55 PM
Bucks should give like 2019 1st for Tyson.

I have no idea Tysons contract but he definitely could help
01-06-2017 , 03:00 PM
It's amazing how the Western Conference standings are almost in perfect order by point differential, and then there's the giant outlier Timberwolves. Same as it ever was.
01-06-2017 , 03:01 PM
think korver is pretty washed at this point, but he's certainly playable and the cavs were very thin on the wing even with earl iii
01-06-2017 , 03:02 PM
Good news, NBA 2K has been keeping up with the thread. The latest roster update has Jokic (82 overall) > Wiggins (81).
01-06-2017 , 03:08 PM
41% on 5 3pt tries per game at 27m a game. doesnt seem washed up. dunleavy otoh tho.
01-06-2017 , 03:09 PM
didn't say he couldn't shoot

edit: certainly agree he is > dunleavy. i said he is playable after all

wonder how far away we are from dwight moping. he is only on a 3 year deal i guess, but they are about to blow up the team
