i had a freshman take a dump in the back seat of this guys explorer. the funniest part was watching the reaction from up the street. poop really is the great equalizer.

He's not making an actual argument so I don't see how it can be a typical textbook logical fallacy like ad hominen attack or something

on a day like today we can all put aside our political differences and celebrate those who wear the uniform of the denver nuggets.

Ad Hominem?

The poop in the shoe story instantly makes Arenas one of my favorite players.

Warriors are 6-2. Too bad they traded A Randolph or else I might care.

warriors and cavaliers was probably 2 of the most underrated teams this season and both will likely make playoffs

It's not a failure of logic, per se. If someone had called him ugly and he responded with "no you are" that would be a form of "tu quoque". If Noah was trying to use KG's ugliness as support for the premise that KG is bad at basketball, that would be an ad hominem fallacy. An ad hominem attack is not necessarily fallacious, only if the alleged bad trait doesn't really relate to the matter under discussion.

cavs suck. they are getting huge crowd support and playing hard and inspired but still cant beat the nets and kings at home or raptorlols on the road. once reality sets in this team will go thru the motion like bottom feeders tend to.

Cowherd's hatehatehate on John Wall is pretty strong.
11-11-2010 , 05:56 PM
ya Arenas comes across as a giant dbag. He used to be fun to watch, but now with the guns, injuries, fake injuries, shoe poop, his act is tired and should go away.
11-11-2010 , 05:57 PM
I wasn't saying he was advancing an argument, but it reminds of something I read along the lines of, say, "John is a child molester, therefore he cannot call another child molester a bad person." John can still call the other guy a bad person and have it be perfectly valid, it just means he's a bad person too. Some people argue like this a lot, I just can't remember the term for it.

Noze,

gtfo with that ****

Warmest regards,

Calda

Yeah, this is what I was talking about. I know what ad hominem is, just couldn't remember the first one.

Shut up you child molester.

my freshman year of college I went out and partied and forgot to study for my logic final. It might have been a take home and I didn't do it. Can't recall for sure. Anyway, went to the see the Prof and his dad had just died. So I told him by dad just died too. We sat and cried together. He gave me a pass. I might not be a good person.

Cowherd basically went on a rant about why Wall would never be a championship player: no strong father. He compared him to Rondo in that regard, which is funny because Rondo's dad left when Rajon was 7.

He's basically doing everything short of just repeatedly screaming the N word at Wall.
11-11-2010 , 06:10 PM
rajon has rings. wall never will
