It's certainly not a great shot for Miami, but it's not like he's bad at that shot. He's shot right at league average from that distance for the past 2 years.

With how Indiana's playing defense against Miami, it's not the worst shot in the world. If Miami can get Haslem the ball in that spot and he can make it at a decent clip, it opens things up a bit and it brings out a good defensive rebounder for Indiana.

Bottom line is: if Haslem is making that shot then the pacers can't beat them. They have to collapse on bron and somewhat on wade to make them pass and are forced to leave that shot open.
