Pistons didn't beat any superstars to get to the Finals. The East had nothing in those days.
they beat labron in one of them didnt they? or was that the year the heat beat em in the conf finals.

and? hes been awful this postseason. well, not awful, but for his standards definitely. 18.4 PER, 50.1 TS. his jumper hasnt improved and hes not quick enough to beat quick defenders off the dribble anymore. he gets all of his points off of off the ball cuts and making mid/long range jumpers.

lebron has been backpacking this team hugely and masking their flaws. agree with VC/KC, heat are gonna decline hard and i think bron is goin back to cleveland. him goin to LA wud be kind of amazing, both as a total heel turn (just when hes starting to get back in casual fans/medias good graces) and to watch lolaker fans cheer him on.

yup, hes just an amazing PnR defender. one thing thats underrated about his PnR D is that while someone like Noah is probably better at defending it as the big, Lebrons ability to guard both positions in it probably makes him more valuable vs it.

yea he would. no black coach tho.

side note: scrolling thru the thread it seems basically the entire thing is laker fans/jordan fans/bron haters/randoms saying how rigged this series is for the heat- the pacers have a +32 fta margin and lebron has been outshot from the line by 2 different pacers- i havent been able to watch each game entirely due to wsop and **** but ive caught most of the series, wat am i missing? have the heat just got calls in better spots or something?

As for the miami declining hard, there's a chance, but not if they manage the team right

Veterans wan a play there for minimum, they sign a MLE every year, and bosh is real good

They might decline due to gross mismanagement , but lebron and bosh is plenty to be Favorites to ship for years as long as Norris cole and Joel Anthony aren't getting all the minutes

They could be a favorite to break the bulls record in wins next year if they did a few simple things

sign dalembert with MLE and resign BIRDMAN , play haslem and Joel sparingly , only at PF backup to bosh

Play chalmers little more and go no PG little more
Obv way less flat top

Tell mike miller and ray Allen to ride the pine , play battier little less and free mother truckin James Jones

Lebron is at another level right now and will be for the forseable future

They should be an all time team, but even with the heats stupidity and wades wackness their still likely to win it all , lebron is that good. I just can't see him leaving a situation where he's already won and he'd be the favorite too win

People are forgetting how good Wade was in his healthy stretch this year. He had 20 games of very elite play. It's probably a 50/50 shot he ever enters the playoffs healthy but him being who he is I do expect his shooting to drastically improve in the idea offseason and if he is actually healthy then they pretty much auto win

They need to start playing Wade like Pop plays his guys. Basically priority #1 with him should be to keep him healthy for the playoffs.

think the winning streak worked against him in this regard , he probably would have gotten more rest otherwise.

anyone listen to the bs report with windhorst? assuming he knows his stuff (sounds like he does), he seemed pretty skeptical that the heat will stick together for the long haul (based on cap stuff, wade being old etc). seemed optimistic about a lebron homecoming, and pretty sure that lebron would leave in general

There is no doubt Wade is a superstar when healthy. With his style of play, can he ever stay healthy again?

Windhorst has been propagating the labron return for like 2 years now it's nothing new. Just wanting

he's def wanting hard but he might also be right. i think there's little doubt at this point that:
a) miami is pretty unlikely to be the best option for labron to maximise rangz over the remainder of his career when he is eligible to become a free agent after next year
b) miami is facing serious financial issues relating to the repeater lux tax if they keep the big 3 together + they'll have to pay chalmers at that point too

thing that have to happen to keeps him in miami (imo) are: loyalty to wade/bosh + bosh staying + ownership's willingness to pay a lot of tax for years on end

Can someone explain to me why LBJ would ever go back to Cleveland after Gilbert's meltdown and the club bad mouthing him in the press after he left

He's loves Cleveland and Kyrie + Noel/whoever is going to be a lot more appealing than a declining Wade + post-prime Bosh for championship equity.

bolded: ya thats a good point, but tbf, brian shaw is the lead assistant and has tons of interaction with the players. youll often see him talking with roy/lance/hill. i know he was beloved by lakers players when he was playing and coaching there under phil. if he doesnt get another job (which he's been trying for years now) staying put could be a good thing for him regardless.

i'd like to expand further on why cp3 to indiana would be a good thing, but i think its pretty obvious given the nature of their offense and his wanting to dominate the ball.

second paragraph: heat have had some stretches littered w/ ticky tack calls, and take a lot of outside shots. ft disparity shouldnt be considered imo. but im not going to lie, and ive been upfront from the beginning of the series, im hedging really hard this ecf if a few fanboi's and slurpers get mad idk what to say. heat are just really unlikable.

Seems like he's the obvious guy to take the Clippers job this year IMO. In addition to the whole race thing, he's a player friendly type which the Clippers kinda need given their roster, and given some of Vogel's epic screw ups in crunch time, you kinda have to wonder who the brains behind that defense is. I know every time someone's asked Haralabob about Vogel this year, he's responded something like "well whoever's behind that defense is a fantastic coach". I get the feeling it's >50/50 that Shaw's the brains there, and I think he'd do a really good job in LA.

Very impressed with the minute sequence where LeBron clearly lost the ball headed to the rim, heat got the ball anyway and scored, then he elbows his defender in the chin, drawing a defensive foul and stern talking to from the official and hitting a 3.

It's these ref assisted 5 point swings in close games that truly bring out the best in great players.
