wtf, whoever thinks labron and the fagaleers will win over 70 games, my gf will personally give you a bj if that happens. you can post that in the prop bet thread
08-11-2009 , 02:42 PM
I have $100 w/Bobbo as (I think) my only bet thus far. Anyone else with any bets to propose get at me, I want a few thousand in pre-season action so lots left to do

So I tell you this:

I said this to Bobbo the other day, and I"ll say it again: I'm really trying to post less and play more poker these days. So if you really want to debate this, then do so and I'll respond. However, I'm gonna skip out on debates like this where we just yell our opinions at each other without any real evidence.

and your response is to just keep stating your opinion over and over again like this:

So, 10 guys:
(higher PER)
1. Dirk
2. Kobe
3. Lebron
4. Wade
5. Garnett
6. Brand
(lower PER)
7. Duncan
8. Gasol
9. Billups
10. Nash

Art, you claim that Arenas does more than score. No he doesn't. He's a pure scorer. He's great at it. It's an important thing to be great at. But he's not a good defender, passer, or rebounder.

I mean, what exactly is stating your opinion over and over again without providing support supposed to accomplish?

How about telling us actual reasons why the guys you say are better are indeed better?

oh yeah, ty

what was the O/U
i know it was $50 and i know i set the line silly high in homer style but ill stick by it!

I'd bet on Bosh's PER vs Josh Smiff's.
08-11-2009 , 03:04 PM
Does PER mean "Amount of dicks sucked thru networking on Twitter" ?
08-11-2009 , 03:05 PM
hater
08-11-2009 , 03:07 PM
Anyway I'd never bet on JSmoove in a positive way.

My expectations for him are so low, that if he got even 10% better he'd turn in to one of my favorite players

PER bets can be kind of fun, I'd be willing take the over on Emeka Okafor at 18.5. He was 18.0 last year, 17.7 career. I'll probably want a minutes stipulation (1900? 2000?) just to rule out any nagging injuries that he could still potentially play with. Maybe for like $50? I don't have too much on FT at the moment. Let me know.

I don't remember the line either(prop betting while high ftw!)...but I think you had $50 with him and $200 with me....lets just ask Seth, he'll probably remember.

I'd be surprised if someone took this, I'd suspect his per to be helped nicely by playing with cp3.

edit: didn't mean to try to kill any potential action for you.

Bobbo,

How about a fun small like 100 dollar last longer Den/Utah?

Tiebreaker if same round of playoff exit is # of games the round went to? (Mostly just because I don't want a tie).

I posted all our bets, the Bayless / Songaila one was canceled due to Songaila being traded to the Wolves. (And the acquisition of Andre) If you want to keep this one active I guess we could but the entire bet is different. (it was a mpg bet)

no, im not exactly high on utah, either. id do a last longer between denver and portland, san antonio, or LA if you'd like.

Didn't you have Utah ranked above Denver in your projections?
