But, more importantly, I HATE that they do this after drafting Fox.

I know everyone hates Hield but I don't really get why. N.O. was a complete AIDSfest and he had a 60 TS% in 700+ minutes once he was traded. Should definitely trade Hill soon.
He was an old rookie.

It's just residual draft hate.

It's a baseball contract, ideally they'll flip him later.

What is the argument? That he is setting a non-binding precedent that other mega stars will feel compelled to follow? That seems like a stretch.
actually the sweeps in the playoffs cost everyone in the NBA a lot of money

Agree about hill, strongly disagree about zbo.

Who in their right mind 1 year from now will say to themselves "wow we really need 50 years old zbo to compete at 12M/year"? The only answer to that question is the kings.

Dude is washed up and a negative player

Ideally, yeah, but I think they're better off getting their asset on the front end because they'd likely need to take on another $12m+ of someone else's contracts to move him anyway.

& there's no real chance of actual winning or increased equity with ZBo.

Heyward to Celtics

Finally a big name moves West -> East.

Reading on Twitter by Celts salary, either they must move players to open up room or Hayward has to take less than max. Let's see what happens!

Celts may get out of the east this year just due to the fact that LeBron seems to have given up on Cleveland.

Probably not though.

quoting your own twitter in here is lol

Such an obvious move.

Jazz might as well deal the Celts Gobert too.

They definitely have some flippable pieces.

Will be interesting to see what happens now. Miami likely looking to make other moves after losing out on Hayward.

Jazz again draw the short end of the stick after improving for a bunch of years. Can't see them being in the top probably two tiers of the West now.

Hayward going east a victory for the process. A loss for slow build

If Celtics get to the finals this year, just another reason LeBron out.

No problem Rudy's back is huge,he'll show the world he's play-off worthy alone like the top 10 player he is
07-04-2017 , 02:33 PM
Bunch of reputable people on Twitter saying this Hayward decision isn't finalized. Interesting... DAJ take two?
07-04-2017 , 02:34 PM
From Bobby Marks on this situation for Celts:
The Celtics would have to pull the qualifying offer on Kelly Olynyk, renounce free agents Jonas Jerebko, James Young, Gerald Green and waive the contracts of Jordan Mickey and Demetrius Jackson (or trade). The Celtics would be left with $27.6M in room and likely need to move the contract of Terry Rozier or Marcus Smart. Trading Rozier would have the Celtics short $1M of a max salary a lot.
07-04-2017 , 02:42 PM
So Ainge ends up with the guy who's 85% as good as the guys he'd have to give up too much for, just as a free agent.

Also Tatum >> Fultz.

AINGE

Also, if Pritchard wasn't an impatient moron, he'd actually get a good return for PG now that the Hayward deal is done. Lol indy.
07-04-2017 , 02:43 PM
Woj still saying not official
07-04-2017 , 02:43 PM
hayward gonna pull an andre d'jordan?
07-04-2017 , 02:47 PM
Spurs didn't even get hill, they wiffed on lowry, cp3 & hill, wtf!!! Spurs was the only team that was 1 player away from competing but yet they couldn't even get half a player, smh.
07-04-2017 , 02:47 PM
It sounds like he just doesn't want his Player's Tribune article spoiled, but sounds like 4 year max is a done deal.
