It's far less different than we like to think imo. I liked the 'trained chef' analogy posted but think it works in Williams' favour a bit more. All well and good to tell a pro chef his steak tastes terrible, goes less well if you give him pointers on how he could have made it better.
Like imagine being a pro NBA'er and being told by some stats nerd something along the lines of "You need to take less long twos and more layups/dunks/threes". Like, we're right, but his reaction is obviously "do you know how easier said than done that is? do you know how ridiculously hard it is to even get off a 30% long two against an NBA defence?"
I dunno his take is still pretty lol but I guess I can just understand his frustration
