Arguing that his numbers were up as a way of demonstrating improvement is silly in general and in his case is hardly even true.

You should be seeing a SIGNIFICANT improvement between rookie and sophomore seasons for someone his age, especially an International player who was so inexperienced. His numbers very slightly improved if at all. It's a legitinate major concern for him going forward.

Also Rose wasn't even that bad and was much better than their PG situation the year before so that's a pretty flimsy excuse.

Thayer that looks like a random list of tall people.

I don't get it for them either.

Depends on what they give up. Looks like it's faried and one of the guys they just drafted? If it's Murray or Harris I will like. Meh if it's juancho, yay for everyone else.

If it's all or a combo of Wilson/faried/Barton I will be over the moon.

Love would be the best player Denver has had in 20 years
06-25-2017 , 07:52 PM
If it includes Harris or any picks seems bad.
06-25-2017 , 08:26 PM
yea, staps is awesome and would also fit perfectly on the celtics (or most teams that arent run by mongrels).

he legit can't do a bodyweight squat
06-25-2017 , 08:31 PM
He's going to have tons of health issues unfortunately. Only guy who looked natural at that size was shaq
06-25-2017 , 09:03 PM
Shaq having a relatively healthy career is still mind blowing.
06-25-2017 , 09:07 PM
He is 5th in the league in blocks.
06-25-2017 , 09:08 PM
Rodman owning Shaq over and over again was even more amazing. The only player really capable of defending Shaq throughout his career. Ben Wallace did okay I suppose.

Having a discussion with someone about the top SGs in the league. Am I crazy to take Beal over DeRozan? DeRozan is an inefficient volume scorer that can't shoot 3s. Beal is substantially better in TS%, OBPM and VORP. His usage is way lower.
06-25-2017 , 09:15 PM
It's pretty close right now, I'd prefer beal due to team building flexibility. Going forward it's beal 100%

KLove to Denver?

Giddy up! Let's get some trades going!

but I guess analysis by baseless twitter rumors is a good way to go about things.
Boston fans way overhype Stevens invincibility. He hasn't really proven anything yet.

I am a fan of a team who went to the finals then won 67 games the next year and the coach ended up, rightfully, being fired. There has not been a lot of pressure on Stevens yet. However if they don't push past their position next year he is likely going to be seeing the water heat up.

The best thing he has going for him is Ainge has a long leash which in turn buys him a lot of time because he probably doesn't get fired until Ainge has to sacrifice him to save his own job. Boston still doesn't have a superstar on their team and if Ainge can not deliver one in the next two years the team will have stagnated and fallback. Having the best record in the East this past year actually hurts them from the standpoint of expectations next year.

People acting like Stevens is one of the league's untouchable coaches is silly though. There are probably only three untouchable coaches in the league and none of them are in the Eastern Conference.
06-25-2017 , 10:21 PM
He's not untouchable but he wasn't getting fired after signing a huge extension right after they got the #1. That's just bananas talk.
06-25-2017 , 10:22 PM
Which 3 coaches in the NBA are untouchable?

Pop--okay
Kerr--I guess so but they were fine with Mike Brown; his issue is his health--I think they can win with a number of coaches

Who else? D'Antoni? Rivers? Meh on both sides.
06-25-2017 , 10:30 PM
I remember a time when Joe Dumars was considered one of the best GMs in basketball. Then the truth was shown he just ran really well on some trades, free agent signings, had a couple good coaches, and a few later draft picks that exceeded expectations. The run good is real.
06-25-2017 , 10:33 PM
That Stevens being close to losing his job thing was a troll job by Sixers twitter people that somehow got legs and started getting a lot of people sucked in.
06-25-2017 , 10:34 PM
Let's say the Cavs are able to trade KLove for PG13 and Faried.

Then Melo and DWade both get bought out and sign with the Cavs.

How would you rate their chances in a series vs. the Warriors?
06-25-2017 , 10:34 PM
Pop the only true untouchable. Kerr after that. And honestly Brad is prob #3... Maybe one of budenholz or thibs.

Actually maybe Carlisle #3.

Probably worse than their odds from this year's series which wasn't good.

Wade/Melo aren't real upgrades unless they're focused and healthy vs the Warriors.
