Irving had 5.2 3PA per 36 minutes in Cleveland.
Some of IT's increase just comes from taking more shots, but the percentage of his shots that were from behind the arc went from 36.2% to 39.8%. Irving has taken 28.6% of his shots from three-point range for his career. That number has been increasing, so he was at 31.1% last season.
One interesting thing about Irving is how his eFG cratered in the 4th quarter last season. Here is how it was split last season by quarter: .548/.551/.547/.468. How much of that was caused by being next to Lebron or by bad coaching and how much was caused by Kyrie's flaws as a player? How much was due to randomness?
it seems reasonable to assign some blame to kyrie's flaws as a player imo. he was probably feeling himself as a shotmaker after he basically won the title for the cavs with a really hard step back 3, i could see lack of fitness being a factor as well
only guesses tho, randomness often the most relevant factor with stats like that
