Any chance they put protections on the previously unprotected Nets pick? I believe the 76ers trade didn't have the protections on the unprotected Kings pick released until later.

If pick is ~top 5 protected, & has some other pick as backup, it becomes a lot less horrible.

I mean, you could legitimately make the argument that all 3 of expiring IT, Crowder on his deal, and BKN unprotected #1 are more valuable than Kyrie on a max. Holy God.

Kyrie makes 3/$60m (although he can opt out after 2 years, so it's basically a 2/$40m), so calling it a max when IT2 is eligible for a humongous deal after this year is a bit misleading.

I've already talked myself into IT2 & Crowder being products of BRAD & Kyrie never having played for a decent coach & it might be super exciting & a big upgrade...

...& if there is unreported protection on the Nets pick, then I've convinced myself to be excited, but if there's not...still kind of shocked at how bad of an idea that is.
